2008 Silverado Reg Cab Lift Questions

Recommended Posts

I'm lifting my silverado its a regular cab with the 4.8L vortec and im putting a pro comp 6 inch lift and 35 12.50 nitto mud grapplers i was just wondering if anyone else has lifted their 08 silverado reg cabs and if so is there any advice on installing it maybe some problems or tips. Another question is the tires like i said im putting the nitto mud grapplers on and if anyone has ran them or are running them i was just wondering how they wear.

i've heard they wear pretty bad. as far as installing the kit it should be the same as installing it on any other type of cab truck. look around fullsizechevy.com or gmfullsize.com and there are plenty of picture of lifted reg cabs

PRO COMP SUCKS! I had one on for about a year. I hated it. It was on my 2005 1500. It made all sorts of noises and changed all sorts of angles. The thing I hated most was it dropped the whole steering system and the adapter that it used did not allow for dual steering stabilizers (Which are recommended with 35" tires). Go with Fabtech or BDS. They are about the same price and you get far better quality and service, plus a LIFETIME warranty.

thanks i will look into the other lifts and see what i can find the reason im was goin to go with the pro comp lift is because of the price, i found the kit for like 1300 dollars and it seemed like a good deal and the tires were pretty cheap too but i will def look at some other lifts i appreciate it

if i was you i would definitely go with a custom tune IE: HP Tuners or EFI Live, especially if you want the most out of a tune
