HAVE A 2001 SIERRA SLE WITH 5.3L, RECENTLY DAMAGED PCM BEYOND REPAIR. BOUGHT A 2000 SIERRA SLE WITH 5.3L AND SAME OPTIONS AS A PARTS TRUCK, TRIED SWAPPING PCM, ENGINE TRIES TO START BUT JUST CRANKS AFTER THAT UNTIL KEY IS CYCLED, WHAT ELSE NEEDS TO BE SWAPPED TO MAKE THIS PCM WORK OR WILL IT WORK AT ALL?

Do a security relearn. run a search on it here and you will get a ton of info.

Not sure if it will work all that great in an '01, because the 2000 uses a little slower processor and may even have different software. When you finally get it started it will need a crank relearn as well, as the SES light will probably come on.
