Question On International Shipping

I said I wouldn't do it again :D but I'm selling something on E-bay, it weighs around 230lbs. I have multiple watchers, and the auction ends in a few days. I received a message from someone in Germany asking if I would ship. I really don't mind, but what's involved?? UPS estimated $270 for air freight...which is odd because that's almost what it costs for ground shipping here in the states (non commercial address). Would I just drop it off at the UPS store and pay them $270? They estimated about 8 total days for delivery.

:D

Anyone willing to pay S&H overseas for something of this size really want's whatever it is they are buying (probably aren't too many of these over there), so maybe he'll rack up the auction & go big or go home, which makes me want to say yes to shipping over seas.

European people are weird; he wants me inside a card board box wearing a scuba diving suit on delivery. Personally I think my body should start over $425 in auction :D

Do it, as long as the funds are secured before you ship. I use to ship Jeep parts all over the world, including Australia, and people there would pay crazy shipping charges to get Jeep parts. I use to use this company for oversized items.

Good Luck!

Also, if you are using UPS, make sure you also provide them with the dimensions of the box, as that will change the shipping $$$ dramaticallly.

Selling the 4l80, don't feel like rebuilding + dealing with the swap. Going to spend this $$$ on a converter and probably rebuild the 60e later this summer to take the power I'm putting to it as it sits. Looking to get a 3200-3600 rpm converter when it's sold.

It's on a pallet. The bad thing with the new Ebay and Paypal rules is they hold your $$$ on paypal until the item is delivered/the buyer leaves positive feedback, which took an extra week after the item was delivered last time I sold.
