Looks typical of what I went through in 2007 for my 2008, although production looks like it starts a month or so later than when I got mine. Probably due to the GM shutdown. And that assumes your dealer has an allocation and you get the order in and accepted right after the bank opens.

I ordered in April; built late August; delivered mid - September. And because of my buyback I got one of the very first trucks made. (one of the first 500)

Can't find a '09 you like? No difference between it and a '10... except the price will likely be better now and with the bankruptcy who knows if those dates are real.

Sorry...

I want an LT Crewcab with the 6.2L as of now they dont make this in an 09 only an LTZ model.

I know the whole order process my question is the dates. I doubt if it will be hard for a dealer to get an allocation on a truck. My 08 Tahoe was ordered, built and delievered in under 14 days. My 00 took a bit longer (right at 24 days total)

With the summer shutdowns as mentioned, those dates seem to be where they should be.

X2, a sales person at my dealers last week showed a guy who didn't believe he couldn't order a truck then, the salesperson input a similar truck to what he wanted and the computer spit it right back out and it stated "No new orders until Sept"

I don't have any inside info but look at things on the bright side. At least it will be here in time for Christmas so you can ask for all kinds of things for the truck! :fume:

I am going to start ordering things soon :fume: I figure once cabelas has a sale I am ordering all the floor mats

Just keep in mind Wheels is a big leasing company and those dates my refer to fleet sales. I know where I worked (State DOT) we used Wheels and it took 1 yr from the date of order to receive our vehicles, suburbans. Cars came faster but GM would only produce fleet trucks on their schedule.

Thanks for the info, back in the day (2000) when I last used the site it was spot on for lead times, production holds etc.
