Wagner Halogen Bulbs

Hey guys, I replaced a headlight in aug. 08 with a Wagner bulb (just the standard one). That thing lasted for 10 months. The previous bulb (oem) lasted for 4 years. I replaced it with a Sylvania today (which was OEM bulb). Anybody else have problems with Wagner headlights?

Wagnor is like the "Harbor Freight" of tools. Nothing special. Very Cheap, breaks easily. Sylvania is the best maker of automotive bulbs.

I've been running Wagner TruView bulbs in my headlights for several months now. I think they perform better than Silverstars at half the price.

What experiences did you have that made you make out-of-the-blue claims like that?

Working in the lighting industry, working around all makes of light bulbs, Philips, GE, Sylvania, Wagner, and a bunch of small brands that are made by the bigger brands.

Good to know, I will be avoiding their stuff in the future. I know the OEM's were Sylvania's so that's why I went with them.

Sylvania and GE are the only two brands I would trust. For home & auto. They have been around the longest.

Sylvania bulbs for me while I keep on using halogens.

I found a set of Narva bulbs at a local auto parts store on clearout for $6.99. Made in Germany, daughter company of Philips. Didn't seem to improve brightness any but a good product anyhow.

While Philips makes decent quality residential & commercial bulbs, I don't have enough expierence with them yet to give an opinion on automotive. In fact, I have yet to go into any auto store that sells Philips automotive bulbs!!
