Can a rear end from a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 duromax diesel fit on a 1999 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD?

I believe they are the same. I'm just an idiot though. Someone who knows more should chime in.

I am not sure if they had the 11.5 14bolt FF in those trucks. Don't forget the 14 bolt comes in 3 basic types in the GMT 800 trucks:

1500HD/2500LD 1500V-max (possibly 2wd Silverado SS) had the 9.5 SF 14bolt

2500HD 6.0 gasser had the 10.5 FF 14 bolt

and the 2500HD big blocks and ALLY's had the 11.5 FF 14 bolt

But the best way is to measure all the connections and see if it matches and go for it if it does!
