How To Remove The Bolt?

Hi , i want to change my wanter pump but first i need to remove the fan shaft ( the bolt that you can see on the picture ) before unskrew the pulley. I want to know if there's some tools or technics to remove it.

There are special fan tools that you can either buy or loan out from the parts store. There will be a wrench for the fan nut and another larger one that will fit over the 4 bolts on the pump pulley.

 

 

*BTW..It can be a real bitch..Eat your wheeties.

the easiest way is to jam a glove in to the belt so it jams the pulley up and pull like you have never pulled before, trust me this is the cheapest and easiest way to do this

I have used a large pair of channel locks before and did the same thing as the special tool. Definitely use some monkey piss (PB Blaster) to penetrate first.

I've never heard of monkey piss (PB Blaster) but Marvel Mystery oil works wonders on rusted/stuck bolts.
