How Are You Making Them Fit?

GMT900 2500 4x4 truck, every one we put the 20 inch wheels and tires on LT285-55r20 they rub almost undriveably bad.

 

We have tried cranking up the torsion bars and have resorted to cutting extreme amounts of fender well out to get them to stop making contact with the tires.

 

I would think that the passenger rated tires fit fine, but we need to keep the weight rating at 10 ply.

 

Without putting an actual suspension lift on the vehicle, is there any way to make this work?

most people here run 1500s which are extremely different than the 2500 as you know. however over at dieselplace they have a section totally committed to this topic of what fits and what don't on the 2500
