Can someone give me a guess estimate on what I should expect the gas mileage to be while towing my RV with my 06' 2500 Crew Cab long wheel base, 6.0 4.10 rear end. The RV weighs approx. 7700 dry, with a weight distrubutiion hitch?

I tow a 6500 lb (wet and loaded) travel trailer with an '07 1500 Crew Cab Vmax (6.0, 3.73 rear) with a weight distribution hitch and average 9-10 mpg on mostly flat terrain doing 60 mph. Unloaded, I get around 17 mpg highway.

I get around 8 MPG @70 MPH towing 8000#

I get around 10 mpg with both truck and camper fully loaded at around 6500 lbs with a 1500 crew cab (5.3, 3.73) around 60mph

10 mpg calm

12 mpg with tail wind

I average 8 - 10 mpg towing.

Thanks, I thought I might have had a little trouble with my truck, I averaged 7-8 while towing and 12-13 with no trailer, also when up around 65-70 stayed at 3000 rpm. This was the only way to keep the speed up.

If you havent gotten a OEM softwear up grade your needing one, a #2500 should get a round 16-17 hwy, other option is a tune.
