Bluetooth?

was bluetooth available in 08? how would I know if my truck has it. I never got an owners manual with the truck. and I don't know if it has this feature. it's an 08 sierra sle. how can I check to see if it has this option?

I don't think it does. i pushed the push to talk button and all it says is onstar ready. it asks me for a number to dial. does it cost anything to use onstar as a phone?

did you buy your truck new? the dealer should provide you with that manual

onstar has minutes that you use. kinda like a prepaid cell phone. i don't remember how much those minutes are. you can also link to your cell phone minutes too, but you have to be with a specific cell company. In Canada its Bell, not sure in the USA.

And both options (buying minutes from OnStar or linking with your cell minutes) are ridiculously expensive in my opinion, especially considering you still have to maintain a cell phone.

I want to be able to handle my calls with a bluetooth connection, so I'm going to have to go with an aftermarket unit I guess (since GM seems determined to ensure customers are unable to retrofit BlueStar to vehicles before 2009).
