Looking for a good On/Off road tire. Thinking about Pirelli Scorpion ATR Blackwall. Anyone have any experience with these? Or better options?

I had those on my last truck and their best trait is wet roads. They would just spin on wet grass I say they belong on a sport truck.

I had a set on my 05 F150 when I had 20's on it. They arent bad year around tires. Good dry traction, great wet traction, and good normal snow traction. 2-3 inches or less. They wear pretty good also. They are pretty cheap to buy.

I've had them on for about 10K. Never been off-road, but a great wet-boat ramp tire. 20" BTW. Overall very pleased with them.

So to bring up an existing thread instead of starting a new one.....

I have to get a new set of tires (275/55/20), and have a good deal lined up for these... any other opinions on them? I live on the West Coast of British Columbia, it rains 9 months a year, with the other 3 months of sunshine and slush, with about a week of snow thrown in.

What happened was an unrepairable flat (spike in the sidewll shoulder). Goodyear has discontinued the 20" Fortera TripleTreads, so now I'm rolling on three tires with 60% tread on them and the stupid ugly spare. I'm stuck getting four tires rather than mismatching them (which I know is bad).

thx...

I had a set on my F250....I thought these were terrible. Any time the streets were wet, they spun like crazy at a stop light. On wet grass I had to use 4 wheel drive. They did ride nice on the highway and no hum....

I would not buy them again....I have the Nitto street treat and love them.

Hands down the best boat ramp tire I have ever used. I have them and love them. I have put 20,000 miles on them and will buy another set, no question.

I love it when you read reviews like this. It makes it hard to make a good decision. Complete opposite experience. :) Not saying either one is right or wrong, it just makes you go hmmmm...

btw, I've seen many reviews on the Scorpions and most have been good.
