Well, I just couldn't help myself. I had been test driving Chevy and GMC trucks over the last few weeks. I had held off until this week. I nearly pulled the trigger last Friday but it was black and a Chevy. Nothing against the Chevy but I preferred the look of the GMC.

 

I just found a truck that was equipped 95% the way I wanted though. It had the nav system which I didn't want b/c I already have a Kenwood 8120, but I can deal with that.

The main item that was a must have was the 6.2l engine and be 2WD. I'm having a blast in this thing!

 

I had an 02 SD before the F150 and it had AWD. That reduced the fun-factor for me. I like tire smoke. So it was 2WD all the way this time. :smash:

Nice Truck. Now get some rear wheel well liners!

 

Yep, gonna get those in the coming weeks. Gotta schedule the tint next week and bed liner after that.

 

I saw that Justin was gonna be in Gulfport in Oct. I'm thinking that would be the perfect time to get a tune. I want to wring it out a bit and make sure nothing in the driveline is weak before I touch that.

 

I blame the gub'ment for this. When the Cash for Clunkers program was being discussed, it infected me with the bug even though I didn't have a clunker to trade. :smash:
