ive always been a big fan of showing the white lettering, but only on certain tires, i think it looks really good on the BFG all terrain...lately ive kinda been questioning that and ill be getting new tires around june1st (payday)

what do you guys like?

The lettering only looks good on Trucks. Its looks out of place on cars and most SUV's. If you don't keep it clean on a regular basis it wil dis-color and look terrible.

I like the blackwall out.

I think it gives the tires a 'beefier' look.

And if ya drive a truck like a truck, the white aint gonna stay white for long anyhow.

That's my issue, too. It looks very good for about a week, then you're stuck with grey and pealing white. You can't dress the tire easily because the gunk gets on the white and makes it a much longer process. Also, the tire dressing itself is not good for the lettering IMO. Turn 'em inside and save yourself a lot of trouble.

I prefer the black wall out.

On a humorous note, my Dad used to make sure the whitewalls were turned in when he bought tires. He said that when (not if) he curbed the tire, it would have that new look instead of a torn up whitewall.

FWIW

Really depends on the truck more than the tire. On a white z71 truck, for example, white lettering out. On a yukon denali, no white lettering, etc.

Yup...really depends on both truck and tire.

I don't think they would look good on my 2WD....but on a 4X4 its a good look...but than it has to be the right color.

I also don't tend to spend hours cleaning the truck...so white letters are just a waste as they would be brown in a couple weeks.

it all depends. Low profile tires definatly no lettering, big fat tires looking all 4x4ish, white lettering, blacked out trucks, blackwalls, brighter colored ones lettering.

I had a 2005 Regular cab, Long box, 2WD with Mickey Thompson ATZ's. The white lettering looked great on em. But I still think it depends on the tires. :flag:

White walls all the way. :banghead:

I think it looks bad when people turn white walls in and you see the white lettering when they're turning. If your gonna rock the blackwalls get tires with blackwalls on both sides of the tire.

I personally like black, but I do also think the white looks good on the right truck, and I think white only looks good on tires around the stock size, I think it looks out of place on tires that are 33", 35" and so on.
