I just braught my truck home from dealer. Im looking to put a 6 " lift and Nitto terra grapplers 35-12.5-20.

Is it too soon to rip it apart and get into a lift? Just a little apprenhsive

I was thinking BDS...

Im going to pull the trigger soon... Any thoughts?

How will this effect the ride?

Will it affect the warranty?

I got the go ahead from my dealer as long as they do the work. The service manager said for me to buy all the parts and they will do the install, replace with new Tire pressure monitors and realign for $1000.

as long as the lift doesnt directly cause any issues the warranty will be effect

Well if you got the extra money lying around then go ahead and do it!

You dealer may be trying to rip you off. I have talked to my dealer, the lift company, and a local shop that install kits. All three said it wouldn't void the warrenty. The dealer didn't say i had to have them install it. I would check with a different dealer and see what they say.

I already checked with 3 different dealers. My local guy who has a great reputation wants $700 to install the lift andallign it. If it cost a couple bucks extra to have a GM mechanic do it and not get any drama if something goes wrong it may be worth it.

Im really wondering how it will ride and the pros and cons...

What's the limit your willing to spend?

Im sorry but I cant see how that matters. I want it done right and want to but the right set-up.

one lift vs. the next and tire suggestions.

Im thinking about the Nitto Terra Grappler on 20"s

Just wanted to get a feel for your limit so i could throw out some suggestions for stuff, i didnt mean any harm.

If you get 35's dont forget to get the trans regeared and a tune up.

And as far as 35 inch tires go, i'd reccomend the Maxxis Bighorn tire,i have a set of 33's on my truck and i love it.

Or maybe even the Dick Cepek Mud Country

If I were you I would get toyo mts. My brother-in-law put a set on his lifted chevy about 2 years ago and those suckers still have plenty of tread left. They are going on my truck next time.

I haven't checked the suspension section yet but you should have posted this there. Even though the same guys will probably see it here. Better chance in there. But anyway here are my thoughts.

Whether the dealer gave you the ok or not I feel as though if something does go wrong the dealer will try to blame the lift regardless of if they told you it's ok. Unless you get it in writing. I also wouldn't have the dealership install the lift unless you know for a fact they are experienced in working with suspension jobs like this. If it was up to me I'd take it to your friends shop if you know it's a good one.

BDS is a great company and makes great lifts. So does Fabtech and Superlift. Any of those will be great and plenty of guys on here are happy with theirs. Ride will be a little different with suspension and tires but I've heard alot of positives.

I have the Terra Graps and love them. But think I will go with Trail Graps next or Mickey Thompson ATZ's. I just want a more aggressive look. But all 3 of those tires have great reviews.

And like mentioned before it'd be smart to def get your truck tuned and possibly regeared if possible. Hope that helps
