Ac Hot

The driver side is blowing warm to hot air with the AC on. The passenger side is cold. 2008 4 door Silverado LTZ- 2 wheel drive. Any Ideas, it went out right after the warranty went out.

Temp Blend Door/actuator/switch.

acuator. same thing happened in my 05 except passenger was hot and driver was cold.

Dealer fixed it under the GMPP plan. I only had to pay the deductible. Happened on the way back to Houston from Dallas area. Wife got hot air while I had cold air so I had to turn it off completely and suffer with her.

i have a question, randomly mine will be hot. i have both sides set to cold, a/c button is pressed and in recirc. ill drive to like walmart it will work as advertised, then when i leave it will be acting like the heater was on. then if i stop somewhere turn off the engine. go in like a gas station, and i leave. start the truck a/c blows cold again

That's exactly how mine acted until it went toally out and blew hot all the time.

well we have the same truck except the cab, u have 4wd, and an slt im guessing, and probly the 5.3 so same body lol

I also agree with the blend door being the culprit. I just had to replace it in my 04 last week for the same symptoms. Easy swap (driver side).

It was the blend door, $498 at the dealer.
