This happened when i backed in the garage after work.  Appearantly the garage door stopped short about 4" from full open.  I never heard it until it was dragging across the cab...

I feel like this     and I want some of  this  :nono:

Dam. Will it buff out at all? Those look pretty deep.

It won't buff out...  The scratches on the cap are down through the gel coat and into the fiberglass.  The scratches on the cab are into the primer and on one of the ridges on the cab it's to bare metal  :nono:

Ouch, that happened to me when I had my ZR2 Blazer, fortunately that 31" spare bumped it and I stopped before any damage was done to the door, I figure my spare would have wiped my door out!

Sorry to hear about that.

I thought it only happened to me. I smashed the drivers door on my Sonoma by backing up in the yard with the door open while unloading mulch in the flower beds.  I got a little to close to a tree and the tree won.

Ouch.  At least it's on the topside so you don't have to look at it every time you walk up to your truck.  I guess that's the silver lining in this one.

I'll fix it...  (sigh)  I could probably turn it in on my home owners, but I doubt it's worth it....

I'll check with the local body shop that I trust, and ask them to scuff and spray the cap... (no filling) and then fix the cab correctly.

Gosh was I mad when I saw it!!!  SOB!!!  :nono:
