Odb2 Port

Can the odb2 port on a 2000 sierra be replaced? And is there a way to test this plug. I have a service engine light on my dads truck. But when we plug our scanner into it, The scanner wont connect. The scanner works fine in all of my other cars/trucks

does it even turn on?? if not... you need to check your cigarette lighter fuse. it uses the same power source as the connector

Fuse is good. One of the pins on the plug does have power.

As asked previuosly... Does the scanner show anything?

 

Obvious things:

 

Plugged in securely

Try wiggling the scanner connector

Are any of the pins on the OBD port misaligned? Pushed back out of their sockets?

 

If still nothing..... I'm at a loss.

Scanner acts as if its connected to nothing. Wiggling does nothing, Pins appear to be fine
