After hours of searching for an under seat storage system that would work with my factory sub, I finally decided to make my own storage box. With some 5/8" scrap plywood, "L" brackets, automotive carpet, and a couple hours of measuring with cardboard mock ups, here are the final results.5 points

Thanks WesternMike, I know I threw away the cardboard mock ups. But I believe I still have the dimensions for the cuts. Give me until tomorrow to try and find out what I did with them and I will be sure to post them.1 point

I came to my Silverado from a Titan and miss my back window big time. I have the power sliding window in this new(er) truck, but it's not remotely the same. Isolated incident but once or twice I had to climb in/out of that window in a super tight parking situation where the bigger size of it saved me. Also you can partially open for a little venting and/or to hear your exhaust noise better, without an unbalanced look on the back because it slides down, not over. Also also with it open you don't get the double tint right in blind-spot area in your rear-view like someone mentioned. I'm glad to have the powered window, it's better than nothing. And if I never had that Titan I don't think I'd care. But I miss it. It's a great feature and while I generally hate mods in this vein, this one has me thinking...1 point

Hi everyone! Brian with GMPartsNow here and my main responsibility is processing placed orders. It was brought to our attention we have been referenced here which explains the increase in questions and orders for center console items! I just wanted to join the conversation and try to help make this swap more streamlined prior to ordering to avoid any potential availability issues. Our GM parts catalog we use references RPO codes which most of you are aware of, the problem I face while processing orders is that there are dozens of part numbers for consoles and it is near impossible for us to verify correct parts needed by simply requesting such options as wireless charging. As I read through some posts someone mentioned getting a VIN for a truck with the console you want, this is by far the best way for us to get you what you want and emails prior to placing orders is highly recommended to avoid order cancellation issues due to back orders (this is best for any modification when you are changing from what was originally in the vehicle). We try to keep the site updated with availability but many times we do not find out about back orders until someone orders the part, then we have to make contact and change availability on the website. I set up a personal account since I drive a 2016 Silverado myself. I will try to be as active as I can on here but assistance is best directed to [email protected]; Rusty, Jim, Corbin, and I are always happy to help! Lately we have been much busier than normal so our response rate has lengthened but we do our best to respond to emails within 1-2 business days depending on the number of open requests.1 point

I think it's the latter. One thing that sucks about out here is they seem to have the 'you have nowhere else to go so we don't have to try mentality'. There's a few good sellers out there, but they tend to have the sets that have a few marks. No more generic or 5 foot picture sets for me, stupid me thought they were being honest Yeah with the first set I replaced the morons in Gillette (location right there is half of it) left nice deep scratches all the way around the right side wheels, lug nut marks on the left front, and chipped the clearcoat on the left rear. This go round the shop I thought knew what they were doing in Casper did the same bleeping thing. And the chain down here did the same thing AGAIN and left a couple nice deep scratches on one of the blades/spokes. I've had great luck at, if you can believe this, the Chevy dealer in town. They're part of a chain, and the one in Gillette (BIG SHOCK THERE) is a bunch of clowns, but the guys here seem to have a clue. Did a nice job on my bumper cover and tailgate handle, and all service work has been good, but I think they have long term wrenchers. Perhaps I just answered my own question. Thanks for the pointers.... Appreciate the insight!1 point

Sounds like they need to hire some guys with experience, instead of fresh out of tech or high school. If the tire machine is in good shape, there's no reason they should be scratching wheels, unless they don't know how to use a tire iron carefully ... or just plain don't give a crap. I got my set from a car dealer out in CA off eBay 8 years ago. They came wrapped TIGHT with plastic, straps, & foam liner on a pallet. Took me quite a while to unpack the set. Wasn't a single mark, nor even a speck of dirt on them. They came off a '10 LTZ - only had 900 miles on them. They cost a bit, but back then I had never seen these wheels before, nor had anyone else. Here's the seller, but they don't have anything for sale at the moment: https://www.ebay.com/usr/uwin.tires-wheels-accs1 point

No it doesn't and the nice thing about using the harness is the light bar has a 4 flat on it so it makes it really easy to connect it without losing the factory one if you need to tow a small trailer. Picture is the part number and brand I used. As long as you have the factory 7 pin setup, you simply unplug the factory harness from the bumper and it's goes right in between.1 point

The only thing I got done was filled up before any more tourist season price increases (price per gallon has already gone up nearly 60 cents in the span of my last 2 fill ups so who knows how high it wil go this time!)1 point

So all of the panels are on and the blue has been sprayed. We're waiting until it warms up more to paint all of the silver on the truck.1 point

Price will vary shop to shop. I called two and they both told me the price will vary on two conditions, 1) the price that they can get the Titan window and 2) the time and effort needed to cut the window to size Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk1 point
