  1. Well... once I put the carpets and such back. Lol. With the rear GM Deadening off, it is much louder as there are vents on that back wall... so I can hear everything. Lol. I can even hear the stock exhaust. Lol. One day . It’ll all be back together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Thank you very much for sharing this! I apologize for the issues you ran into and to everyone else that experienced this issue. While I receive no compensation for referring these mirrors, I still feel I have an obligatory role since I do make a suggestion to these mirrors quite frequently as a good alternative to OEM. I hope they get their inventory situation squared away soon. Glad that we have the forum and the community members here to help each other out. If it weren’t for us, they wouldn’t have known that the issue exist. Thanks again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Alright!! Here’s the semi-final product, DVD player is working, flip down screen the only thing that is not working is the front screen so that I can play both or individually. Very happy how it turned out, again thanks to Pgamboa and WAMS for all their help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. --Update on mirrors purchased from 1AAuto with wiring issue. -- Below is my review I sent them. Poor customer service Great Mirror I purchased the tow mirrors Part #:1AMRP01786, after installing them the drivers mirror was popping the fuse for the same side running lights. I called 1A for support and was told that I had purchased the incorrect mirror and that the "mirror warranty was now null and void". I was told that the issue was that I had auto dimming on my old mirror and that was causing the short. GM-Trucks forum had several people reporting the same issue. One of the forum members took the mirror apart and found the issue was the marker light (positive) wire was crimped to the power fold ground (negative) causing the short. The manufacturer rep on the forum asked if one of the other forum members would verify on another mirror. By this time I had already removed the bottom glass and verified the same wires were crimped on my mirror. In the process I broke the bottom mirror. The mirror manufacturer assured everyone on the forum their mirrors would be covered by the warranty and the issue was that a small batch of mirrors had inadvertently been wired wrong. I contacted 1A auto to try and get the bottom mirror covered under warranty and to correct my account to by showing the issue was a manufacturing problem and the warranty should still be intact. But was told again the issue was mine and the problem was the auto dimming option, and my mirror warranty was still "null and void." I absolutely Love the mirror and will be buying another set for my other truck but will not be buying it from 1a auto. Update: After this review 1A contacted me and verified the issue had indeed been resolved as a manufacturer mistake, refunded my glass and confirmed the warranty was intact. I am updating it to 4 star because I love the mirrors very much.

  7. I use JB Weld - 2 part epoxy. Used bolts that had a flat hex head on it and stuck in right onto the back wall. Let it cure overnight. The components are not heavy and are folding up well. I cut out the Sound Deadening material to ensure the bolts went on bare metal. You can zoom it the pics and see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Hey Phil...What did you end up using to mount the DSP to the back wall? Just bolts through the wall or did you use some kind of bolt stand-off? I've been looking for a sturdy way to mount all my equipment to the back wall without drilling holes. Might try some good epoxy and binding posts.

  11. That was me when removing the airbag! The video I watched showed a guy popping it off in seconds but it took me forever and 3 bent screwdrivers!

I decided going with a 2.5” level in the front.. and ended up getting a sweet deal on new wheels and rubber that I couldn’t turn down.. heres a pic of her now! Very excited and turned out better than I expected!! It’s squatting a bit in the rear with the oem wheels in the back lol once they were out it was back level lol

  15. The painted trim looks great brother!! I know from experience that air bag removal is no fun! lol

  16. I agree! I like the simpler look of the gauge cluster but not how bland everything else looked so I replaced all of my dash trim with the synthesis trim (the headunit came with matching synthesis trim) and I'm going to eventually replace the door panels with the all black ones and synthesis trim.

  17. I considered it as well until I looked into it. Way to involved and expensive for my liking. But I guess thats what you get when you have the controls, cluster, and radio all linked in together. I do think the wheel area looks a lot better since I painted the trim on mine though. 19. I’m excited. Just ordered my console! Didn’t need the upper trim piece since I already have it. Hopefully sometime next week I can get it and have it kind of installed till I order my harness from Phil!

  21. ohhhh... i got lots of pics of my baby!!! there's no way i could get rid of the '89 when i bought my '14 - i just love it too much! (and dumped waaaaaay too much $$ into it ! ha! ha!) http://IMG_5422 by bc-chris, on Flickr ***the "2500" on the door is a joke between myself and a magazine editor... said he couldn't run a feature on my truck unless is was a 2500, so i swapped out the 1500 piece for a 2500 piece - ha! ha! http://IMG_8134 by bc-chris, on Flickr this was taken right after i got it home after having it repainted http://IMG_1021 by bc-chris, on Flickr i also dropped in a digital dash from dakota digital. i like what is in there now, but they've come out with a new version that i really really like and will get at some point... new version: also added an overhead console.... (uggghhh... i remember doing the install that day - it was pretty HOT!!!)

  23. The interface module adds a screen on your display to be able to toggle between views. It is activated by pressing the and holding the Back button (if i recall). When the page is activated, the left/right turn signals activate the camera. Reverse works like normal and if you have the wireless camera, it is also accessible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. 8.1 miles from 50K, maybe I'll hit it when I go to lunch tonight, or I'll have to take pictures of it in the dark, on the way home. We'll see.

  25. I need running boards, mud flaps, bigger rims and some steps. Maybe a cover too. I think that'll dress it up a bit. So far I love the truck! Picked it up yesterday 2018 LT double cab 5.3. I also love it's ability to stick to my driveway when it's turned on it's side.

  28. I have a black bear tune and run almost exclusively 85 and it is night and day between pump gas and E85 the E85 alone is a 30 or 35 horsepower pump across the entire Power Band with the black bear tune actually gnats but you certainly feel it more so on your second tank of E85 than your first You will likely give up 3 to 4 MPG but who cares

  31. My 14 was the first truck that I put a can tune in (hypertec this time) that I left the performance tune out. The reason was I wanted to be able to switch between E-85 and reg gas. Just running E-85 locally and reg on trips. It ran so well on E-85 with a little tweaking on the transmission I didn’t want to mess with the engine tune. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  34. Yes, I told them I found them on Amazon for $1064.28 and asked if they would beat their price (they did by $1). The guy said yes and had to work up a new order form in order to apply the discount. You will have to call them or instant message someone on the website. The guy I spoke with was Alex V.
