  1. My buddy ended up getting a midnight edition Z71 2018 LTZ edition, but he ended up getting upgrading to new aftermarket wheels and tires and and sold me his original tires and wheels that came with his truck. As a result, here is how my 2016 Z71 LTZ truck looks with the new wheels and tires I got off of my buddy. I love them!!!!!

  2. F me.. my wife made me do the same thing lol. Every truck I had owned in the past, I bought without her there. I had the dealer remove the steps before taking it home, so I could say "Sorry, it didn't come with steps".. but she was with me this time. She saw the steps on there, and told me I had to keep them. I took them off last week, to "clean" them.. but I was really hoping that she'd realize it isn't hard to get in the truck without them.. boy was I wrong! She complained all week, and I finally got tired of it and slapped them back on. Once I finish up my color matching, I will snag some Go Rhino D6s. The stock chrome steps work for now, with the chrome bumpers.

  4. Thanks for the tip. I have always had the phone always slid to the very front of the charger. I'll give it a shot keeping it all the way to the real.

  5. For me, our S8's need to be pushed as far towards the back seat, as the tray will allow. If I drive down a steep hill, or stop quickly, the phone slides forward a little, and stops charging. You have to wait 3 to 5 seconds before putting it back on the charger. Make sure that's not your issue. Whenever I'm stopping, I rest my hand or elbow on the front of the tray so my phone can't move. 6. Thank you. Here's a little better pic of the tail lights. They look great at night. Yes, those are 285/75/17's. I thought about going a little bigger, but after driving around and getting in and out of the cab a dozen times, I'm happy I went with this size. Any taller and i would've had to get nerf bars. I'm about to crank on the key bolts a few times to make it a little closer to level, but nothing crazy 'cause I like a little rake. I love good deep sounding throaty exhaust but am not a fan of tailpipes on trucks, so I put a Flowmaster on it and cut the pipe right after the axle. I love it, but some might think it's too loud. It's not obnoxious but you can hear it when I stand on it.

  8. Back from the body shop from the guy who backed into my truck. New front bumper, new passenger side tow hook, repaint of the bumper top bumper top, and skid plate and replaced the black plastic around the town hooks. (Idiot did 2k in damage). No note or anything left from the hit. Glad it’s back though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Trip from Redmond, WA to Redmond, OR. Averaged just over 20mpg over the whole trip. Good flat spots got 25mpg. Mt. Hood and Santiam pass cost some serious gas at about 14mpg.

  11. Been running my Bilstein 5100's for over a year now and I have been very happy with them. Recently up graded to LT275 60R20 Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 tires. Little over an inch rake, but I think the stance is prefect.

  12. Had a great time yesterday talking mods with you Bubbles. Your lower air dam looks great, guess we didn't hack it up too much! Truck looks good with the steps back on too. There's something I love about that paint color...

  13. Haven't posted anything in a while but just had the truck in the shop this past week for some major upgrades. 4 inch BDS with DSC Coilovers and rear leaf packs. 2 inch Bora spacers in the rear for balance. Steps sprayed with Line-X (chrome was chipping). 20x9 +24 Snow Flakes in Gunmetal with machine finish. 295/60r20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. And the hidden gem behind the wheels...Wilwood brakes all around. I also had the exhaust done but it's way too loud for me so going back Monday for a muffler swap. 14. Took a week, but built two racks to hold the toys for vacation. Also modified a mount for some Thule square bars I bought used for $25.

  15. I've been on this forum for a while, so I guess it's time I posted a few pics of my 2015 2500HD. Nothing special, but I like it.

  17. Correct, the 5100's are designed to work with all of your other stock components.

  18. As promised, here's a before and after of the finished product: Ignore the crappy "photoshopping" around the truck. I was trying to hide/cut out other vehicles and items to protect others' privacy. As for the truck, I have the 5100's set to the 2nd highest setting (1 down from the highest setting). The tires are 275/70/R18's. I was worried about how the load range E tires would feel on the road, but the truck drives great. And I can't explain why or how, but my steering loosened back up after these tires went on and the popping noise when steering issue went away. The only explanation I have is that the noise and tightness had something to do with the angle of the tierods and the new tires adjusted that angle just enough to make a difference. In theory I wouldn't think the tires could have an effect on the angle given this set up, but I don't know how else to explain it. Overall though I'm thrilled with how the truck looks now and how it drives.

  19. I did a norcal tuck with some wheel well liner taken off and removed the sway bar didnt have to but it feels so much better off road and the tires are 35x12.5x17 yes they look huge on the truck as it sits right now. Currently working on a front skid plate bumper !

  20. I wanted rake from the start because I tow and put heavy stuff in the bed. Having the front end higher than the back even when loaded is a pet peeve of mine. Hope this picture gives you more of an idea of the rake it has now. I forgot to take before measurements, but after I'm 3" higher in the back.

  23. Yes, please post the measurements if you have them. I had my front brake line spring a leak on my prior 03 Silverado, not fun when your pedal is on the floor and your not slowing. I would rather have the extra protection of steel braided vs rubber. Side note: Steel braided lines are my first upgrade on every sportbike I have owned.

  24. 3 mph though (depending on what speed you're taking about) is going to be roughly 3-3.5% off... It's not just speedo, but odometer too. And MPG calculations etc... I'm wayyyy too OCD for that. It's actually how I justified the Diablo with the wife. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
