  1. Bury the fob in a ziplock full of dehydrated rice for a couple days.
  2. In 2014 set Denali and Sierra is same set of books. (since denali is really a trim level)
  3. I think he was just saying that with the factory slider, you still have defrost.
  4. It's there, but I never use it.
  5. No it's not. In 2wd the front diff and the transfer case are not turning.
  6. 3.42 is the gear ratio of the differential. Lots of threads on hear discussing 3.08 vs 3.42 (and vs 3.73 that is only available with the 'max tow' package) Sorry, the note about I06 was from the ordering info I copied the description from. I don't know if the navi can be added by the dealer.

  9. And with the higher compression ratio, diesels crank harder than a similar cube gasser.
  10. All duramax's have 2 batteries.
  11. I didn't read the whole thread, and this link was probably posted before, but GM views condensation as a different issue from water leaks. There is some info in link specific to the 14/15's. http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?p=3195
  12. Sounds like the actuator in the door is misadjusted or faulty.
  13. Did you try the other fob that came with the truck?
  14. http://www.helminc.com/helm/search_service_owner.asp?Style=helm&class_2=GMC They distribute OEM manuals for many manufacturers.
  15. 2011+ duramax (RPO LML) is 397HP and 765ft lb torque. (and it develops the torque from 1600rpm) Say what you want about either 5.3 or 6.2, but neither can hold a candle to the current Dmax when towing. (I've towed the same trailer/load with the 6.2 L86 and the 6.6 LML)
  16. The diff oil spec has changed, and is filled for life. That said, if you do change it, use oil that meets the new spec.
  17. Dexos is NOT 'their oil'. Dexos is an oil specification. Valvoline has several oils that meet the Dexos specification, including a full synthetic 0w-20, a 5w30, a 5w30, etc.... If you want to use the Valvoline full synthetic, why not use the 0w-20 that is listed as meeting the Dexos spec? Here is the current list of oils meeting the Dexos spec -- several viscosities are included. http://www.centerforqa.com/gm/dexos1-brands FWIW, to get the designed oil flow thru a journal bearing, requires the correct oil pressure and oil viscosity.
  18. The bulb they put in is a different 55w than the one that is in already, and adjust programming to output a higher voltage level to the bulbs. http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?p=4507
  19. FWIW, the rear axle assembly doesn't have wax applied. The wax is only on the frame.
  20. You could also look at marine battery box options.
  21. Mine doesn't seem to save the down position independent of the up. It appears to maintain a fixed number of degrees between the 2 positions. If I adjust the 'down' position to be lower, then when the mirrors return to the up position, it (the up position) will also be lower. In other words, adjusting the mirror in either the up or down position seems to affect BOTH, but does not seem to change the angle between the 2 settings.
  22. Makes sense that they could be adjusted that way.
