  1. OM suggests that only the pre-selected location is available. Reverse Tilt Mirrors If equipped with memory seats, the passenger and/or driver mirror tilts to a preselected position when the vehicle is in R (Reverse). This allows the curb to be seen when parallel parking. The mirror(s) return to the original position when: . The vehicle is shifted out of R (Reverse), or remains in R (Reverse) for about 30 seconds. . The ignition is turned off. . The vehicle is driven in R (Reverse) above a set speed. To turn this feature on or off, see Vehicle Personalization on page 5-46. I wonder if it just tilts down from the original position, so that if the original position is set wide then the tilt down is also wide?
  2. That product used to be available at the dealers for frame touch-up. Don't know if it's still available through GM.
  3. They have used wax dipped since at least the GMT800's. Front section has been a hydroformed tube since then as well.

  5. 6.0 doesn't tick like the 5.3 and 6.2 DI engines because it used the older lower pressure injection system.
  6. That's why I added the note. The link was to an article from 2 years ago. They have since revised quantity for the DI 5.3 and 6.2 from 8.5 qts to 8.0 qts. This forum has discussed the change before.
  7. 0w20 in the 5.3 and 6.2. The 4.3L gets 5W30. The 0w20 requirement came with the redesign for these DI engines. This article was published when they were introduced. (and has the oil quantities from before they were revised to 8 qts for the 5.3 and 6.2) http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?p=2139
  8. I didn't know that these new DI 5.3's were ever put into avalanches.
  9. Connector with poor connection in harness to #8 injector? Let'em do their thing. that's what warranty is for (but I'm betting service advisor is not correct about the next step in the 'diagnostic list')
  10. I pushed on one when it had ice on it and was surprised how flexible they are.
  11. How many miles?
  12. Why are you hesitating? Is there something your not telling us?
  13. Any chance it's from the exhaust system valve that reduces the drone when in V4?
  14. I think they lowered the bumper, rather than raising the bed. Check the depressions in the sheet metal relative to the ends of the bumper. Ingenious, but I wonder how it would be in the winter in the north?
  15. I didn't see any mention of the torsion rod that is inside the tailgate, just the damper.
  16. I haven't tried mine, but I thought the only difference to traditional tailgate was after removing RHS from pivot (in the usual 1/2 open position) was that the tailgate needs to then be raised close to vertical before removing from LHS. (Raising to near close to release pressure from the assist) Do I have bad info?

  18. Could have been a change for 15 to handle the lower gear ratios (higher driveshaft torque) behind the 8 speed.
  19. I had a 1995 Sierra's with a 350 (5,7L). It made about 200 HP.
  20. They are dealer installed, maybe your dealer can show you a sample.
  21. What is sprayed on top of the wax giving the bumpy surface/
  22. There is a post in the suv section complaining about being stuck in 4wd Low...
  23. As far north as you are you'll love it. It's one of those things that you think is a waste of money, then after using one for a while you'll wonder why you didn't have one before.
