  1. Nice truck and nice deal on it, really digging that blue with the smoked out lenses the elevation uses.
  2. That's probably one of the better deals i have seen on here in some time, and that is not a top end model either, so good find.
  3. Yes i understand that but the power train doesn't cover all that much, part content like oil lines, sensors and such are very seldom covered under a PT warranty from what i have seen.
  4. Yikes at 56k your past your warranty and powertrain coverage i would very much doubt would cover a oil line. If the turbo itself is bad perhaps, but lines i have never seen covered past the oem factory warranty or an extended warranty. I hope i'm wrong....
  5. To be fair RC lift kits are junk, been well documented on this website for years now. And heck i don't even think a month ago we had someone on here posting pictures of their front cv's slinging grease all over the underside of their truck because they also thought that all of these lift kit manufactures cared about angle integrity of the cv axles. You will always get what you pay for imo, especially with something like a kit that alters OEM engineered specs!
  6. Of course they would stick it in a tsb and make owners have to go through locking up their back tires driving 50+ on the highway, and then play the what is wrong game with their dealers! A safety recall which is what this should be, would then make GM notify and cover the cost for customers!
  7. Yup, sorry about that was looking at Gangly's location. Still applies as to why a dealership would turn you away regardless of how busy they claim to be, this is a pretty severe issue which imo makes your truck undrivable. You need to think about other people on the road and the potential you could ruin their day with your selfishness, driving a truck you know is having issues.
  8. Does it have the rear slider window? As said above it has been an ongoing issue to tons of other forum members here and is a issue your dealership and GM know all about. Did you take this issue to your dealer before or is this the first time at 37k? If you had them look at this issue before under warranty and they claimed to find nothing, you might be able to get some coverage if not the entire process covered, which is how it should be imo! This is a well known issue and i would call foul to any dealership claiming ignorance of this issue, do not allow them to perform the temp fix which was applying copious amounts of sealant to band-aid the problem, the real fix is getting the entire back glass and frame replaced.
  9. You live in Texas, go to another dealer! I have also never heard of that happening to any GM truck, owned them for 30+ years. Only time i had a lock up like that was when my pinion head sheared off and jammed the rear gear up. Clearly not the case here but i'm shocked your dealer told you to beat feet with an issue like this, they should make time for you and you should not be driving a truck around that has the potential to lock the rears at highway speeds, that is not a cool problem to have.
  10. Is that 37,000 Peso's? Yeah first thing is to clear your mind of ever thinking a truck with 300k on it would net that much money in return, not even at the peak of truck prices back a year or so ago would that have been possible. I couldn't get that asking price for my 14 all terrain 6.2 loaded truck that still looks rather new and has 250,000 miles less than your truck.
  11. Not around town it won't, my 6.2 will get 20+ all day long on the highway but it drops to 13-15 around town depending on fuel blends and weather. This engine gulps fuel in a stop and go environment but that is the case with any v-8 engine in a truck really.
  12. I hear you on the original poster here, the gmt900 and K series seats leave a lot to be desired imo. The gmt-800 seats were basically lazy boy recliners, the seats in my 2014 are not even on the same playing field with how far a step back they were, and it's not like the k series and up trucks didn't have the interior room for them either!
  13. Because 23 is the first year of the silverado zr2 perhaps.. Not sure if there are any differences with suspension between those model years.
  14. This is why if you really wanted that DSSV shock system you should of just gotten the zr2 package! Because yes in my experience anyone who tries to adapt this onto their non zr2 truck in the long run, will spend more money and get less value then if they would of just stepped up to the zr2 package. This just never works out, i have over 20 years now of seeing people on these website save a few bucks on the initial cost of the truck and then spend untold amounts of money to make it into a truck they could of just bought that way from factory! And 100% of the time, not 70%, 80% or 90% but 100% of the time it will cost more money in the long run, you get less value as the zr2 package offers so much more than just shocks and your at the mercy of whatever smuck is working on your truck and hope he does a proper job. Moral of this story is just buy the zr2!
  15. I agree, imo if you don't have to buy right now OP, i would seriously consider holding out as values are in need of an adjustment downward. Lots that were empty all of 21 and for most of 22 are now filling back up again around me. These price increases were totally dependant on demand, demand is lowering every month now and dealers will have to go back to large rebates, even larger this time now considering they jacked msrp's up for no reason, other then they could, because of once again demand was insane.
  16. One has an interior that is heading onto a decade old and it shows, the other finally refreshed and up to date. I mean is this a which one would you pick type poll because i can't see many choosing a 2020 here.
  17. The denali oem 16+ lights are literally double the price, they are now 3k so they are out of the equation and getting them used on ebay more or less gets you a used beat up light with 9 times out of 10 multiple tabs broken and would cost the same 1,300 these brand new Morimoto lights cost. And then you still would need to buy the 200 dollar plus gen connector to make them work in my 14. I'm surprised as you sound like you didnt like them, i have vled bulbs now, led bulbs wont help a headlamp with a pile of trash projector which is one of the things fixed in the morimoto lights, maybe you installed them wrong or didn't aim them properly because the light output is double that of an oem housing with the hid bulb never mind the trash hir ones that my 14 came with according to some youtube reviews i found. The alpharex ones are decent but they are not cheap going with the led kit version, around $800 and their daytime lamps do not have that factory type clean look to them that the morimoto's have, they are bulky and look kind of cheesy to me which is one thing nearly all aftermarket type lighting seems to be, except for these ones.
  18. Has anyone put these headlight assembly's onto their k series gmc truck? Even at $1,300 it is still far cheaper than trying to find oem used denali lights and getting the gen conversion kit. Just wondering if anyone has bought and installed these lights, and if they have any issues getting them to work in an older 14 model with the factory led daytime lamps. https://www.morimotohid.com/morimoto-14-18-sierra-xb-led-heads?quantity=1
  19. Should be fine, just auto start and let warm up. It is days like that though that will let you know if your battery is starting to fail.
  20. Look like something spilled or rubbed off someone's pants, possible say something like placing a hot pizza box on the seat could stain it like that perhaps. Know that this is gm and the seats even in a 100k denali truck will source the cheapest quality leather, and hell 50% of the seats are fake leather and not even real, only the seating tops are actual leather unless that has been changed but i doubt it.
  21. What did the manufacture of the lift kit have to say, looks to me like their kit doesn't work so good?
  22. Yup and they added the new EV forum and updated the Colorado section, Thank you Mr. Zane or Mod that was given control of that power.
  23. He is busy and when he created this forum he had a different life i'm sure, as this place has been around for awhile. Not sure mods can help on this, maybe one can chime in here if they see this. Like i said i think the best way would be to pm zane and please don't spam his mail box either, send a message and wait for a reply. Like i said he has not been on here for a few weeks now so it might take a bit to see it, give him some time and i'm sure he will answer back.
  24. I would think the best way to go about adding a new sub forum would be to PM Zane who is the admin here, his account shows he was last active here right before christmas so maybe he would eventually see it and work on it, though im sure it has been mentioned to him before. I agree though, i think the refresh deserve it's own sub forum at this point. The colorado/canyon section could use an update as well.
