  1. been using a mix of 87 and 91 in every other tank when i fill up I used it on my 2014 Sierra 6.2 and then my 2016 6.2 and now my 2019 6.2 Zero knock , zero issues . Everyone has their own experience but mine has been 87 works just fine. Now if i was hot lapping my truck going WOT back to back to back , then maybe 91 would be proffered ( 91 is highest here) But this is after all a truck . I get on it from time to time and hear zero knock . What i do hear is a beast of an engine
  2. Lol spoken like someone who wanted a 6.2 but couldn’t get one and now needs to insult the people who have one by saying they have small penis ? Man that’s original! And no you don’t have to put premium in it , and it’s still quicker then the 5.7 Hemi. And gas mileage vs the 5.3 is very small difference But whatever makes you sleep at night and whatever you sell yourself is cool.
  3. Congrats and love the Standard bed look
  4. Can someone show me where GM says 91+ is required for the 6.2 ? Recommended ? yes, if your in 100 degree doing back to back pulls , or your pulling a 8k+ trailer . but just dont see the need for higher octane for cool weather or basic street/highway driving. This is not an insult to anyone who does use 91+ , just my personal observations .
  5. I'm On my 3rd 6.2 ( 2014 , 2016 and now 2019) and half the time i have put California 87 and never had any issues. Maybe during the 3-4 hot summer months i would tend to put more 91 , but most of the time it was a mix of 87 and 91 Performance was the same , and never once did my trucks ping. People never to stop with this 6.2 needs to absolutely have 91+ octane BS , its just not true. This aint a high compression forced induction race car , 87 does just fine.
  6. 500 LBS is really for the more stripped down models . Other higher models dont see that much weight savings. The 5.3 for sure got quicker because of the 8 speed vs 6 speed . Its able to stay in higher RPM. The 6.2 8 speed vs 10 speed is very close in performance. I do also agree its disappointing the GM has not touched their engines power in going on almost 8 years now. I also understand these are trucks and not race cars so the power is more then adequate. One thing i wish GM did was give you more gear options like RAM and Ford do . A 6.2 with 3.55 or even 3.73 would be much quicker then 3.23
  7. The 5.3 desperately needed the 8 speed and the 10 speed even now ups the ante , so its for sure quicker then the K2 models. ...But again 65HP and 77TQ is still a good amount difference with the 5.3 vs 6.2
  8. WOW! that is a nice looking rig! very nice mate
  9. Agreed with the 24s comments above. Stock vs stock there is about a good 6+ tenths and 6+ mph in the quarter between them. The 5.3 is a good match up vs 2.7 actually.
  10. The AT4 has proven to be a really successful model for GM
  11. how much is parts/labor ? From what ive heard this is very expensive?
  12. That looks like Gorman? Very nice truck and Picture. Do you know if its open ?
  13. Thats alot of truck for what you paid. very nicely done and love that color! Congrats
  14. I didn’t see any info on proven power gains on the site or the review. Unless I missed something ? And yeah 500 is good money but as mentioned above I guess it’s Inline with the other intakes. Just wondering if there has been actual scientific/dyno testing To prove it gains power or is this strictly for noise ? Here is the K&N with dyno numbers Which I also find hard to believe from an intake. https://www.knfilters.com/blog/2019-chevrolet-silverado-gmc-sierra-1500-intake/
  15. that looks great OP. very nice look..I like the flat black look
  16. Wow really? I was always under the impression the Ridge Graps were louder then Duratracs. But man do i love the style of RG
  17. anyone try Rhino liner ? I have been using them for 3 of my last trucks. Price is comparable and it feels thick and dosent kill the knees. Never any issues with it holding up
  18. Maybe someone can correct me but i think the Borla is a little louder then the GM Perf. Muffler? Here is my uncles truck with the GM PERF Exhaust and Intake.
  19. As this thing gets worse they will become more desperate. Totally agree April will be better
  20. wouldn't a straight though muffler like Magnaflow help ? Without a CEL light coming on ?
  21. anyone else wish GM would let you know what gear your in like RAM and Ford do in the gauge cluster ? Like 1 through 10 i mean. I mean its not a real world problem as some of you say but i just think it would be a small detail that customers would appreciate.
  22. thats beautiful and very nice price! Satin steel ?
  23. Yep mine is also 102 for my 2019 with 22s
  24. HC grille looks really good on the T1's...Nice truck ..RAM looks very dull next to yours
