  1. Probably never, nothing out there appeals to me. I don't need 8 cameras, a laptop for a dash and all that other BS, they're just a distraction that drives the cost up. Still love my '14 SLT since new, other than a few nickel and dime issues it's been a very good truck, besides it only has 63K miles.
  2. My AC Delco Gold is now 5 1/2 years old and I'll be getting it replaced very soon with the same brand and type. Batteries have a nasty habit of dying with no warning and never in your driveway, lol!
  3. Some questions about battery longevity....what has been your experience and brand type? Way back in the day, I rarely replaced batteries, they seemed to last forever. Now your lucky to get 4-5 years.
  4. 2014 SLT, original owner. Had my first "real" problem last week, dealer had to replace the HVAC servo for driver side temp control. Otherwise just a few nickel and dime issues not worth mentioning. "But...but...but.... you should never buy a first year model change, too many bugs need to be worked out". Well I guess I got one of the good ones then. I have to confess, it only has 61,000 miles, lol!
  5. My 2014 was doing the same thing, I rapidly opened and closed both the driver and passenger temp control knobs several times and there hasn't been a problem since. I routinely do it to prevent it from happening again.
  6. My noise problem solved: 2014 Sierra, noise at 50+ MPH sounded like rapid loud tapping on windshield. Turned out it was the plastic windshield cowl where it butts up against the lower W/S. A thin application of black RTV under the lip cured the problem, took me a long time to isolate the source. These kinds of noises are deceiving, you might think they originate at one location but actually another. https://ibb.co/DgK8HN8
  7. 2014 Sierra..... my actuator was sticking and hanging up, my solution was to rapidly turn the offending dial all the way to "Hi" and "LO" several times. This method worked for me and the problem has not returned......worth a try.
  8. Same here, I don't fold the mirrors anymore, I'm afraid they will hang up.
  9. So, I thought I would give this a try, about $1:45 a gallon cheaper than regular pump gas, 100+ octane too. It really woke things up, I did not expect it, instant HP.. I didn't know 100 octane was offered with E85, what about in your area and your experience? I live in So Cal. https://ibb.co/JcfSgHS
  10. While vacuuming I found two more hidden grounds, one under driver and passenger seats under the vents. Mine were clean and tight, no insulation to deal with.
  11. FYI there's also a ground point under the drivers side area that needs attention.
  12. Seat......are you pushing the Set and Number button at the same time and waiting for the beep??
  13. Let's not re-invent the wheel here. I would like to see documented iron clad proof ( not hear say or "I read it on the internet somewhere") of a case about an oil related engine failure caused by brands x, y or Z. Does not include never changing it or allowing it to run too low. I'll be waiting.................
  14. Mine started doing the exact same thing, driver side warm, I can "fix it" by turning the temp control to full warm and back to cold. 2014 SLT, looks like another actuator problem.
  15. Thanks for posting, I've spent the last 6 years searching for that drain plug. Looks difficult to access though. My method for servicing the cooling system is to drain the overflow tank once a year and refill with 2/3 gallon 50/50 Dexcool...........good enough for me.
  16. In case it hasn't been posted yet, while changing oil today I found another ground connection that needs attention, driver side frame next to the E-Brake cable. Same wax issue.
  17. In the past I used to routinely rotate my tires in the recommended criss cross pattern but I always noticed afterwards the vehicle would either pull to the left or right and/or tires would act out of balance and so on. Never had any luck with that method. Now I rotate them front to back same side when their about half worn down and I still get excellent life out of them with no funny business.
  18. Try www.autoanything.com or just do a search.
  19. I have the same on my white '14 SLT, I prefer chrome accents and bright work, some don't, that's ok too. I also added this to the ugly black tailgate handle. https://ibb.co/r7ct8Jk
  20. 2014 SLT purchased new. Shortly after, started having issues with power mirrors not folding, power pedals not working, power lumbar stopped working (dealer replaced it twice) bottom of driver power seat stopped working. Returned to dealer several times, they were able to get them working but stopped again after just a few days. Since then these items would intermittently begin working again, then stop. When I try to operate them, I can hear a relay somewhere clicking but no action. These are not life and death issues that I absolutely need to have work since I'm the only driver, my concern is a catastrophic electrical failure leaving me stranded on the the road somewhere. Any ideas ? Thanks
  21. I was using Mobile, recently switched to Supertech 0-20 Dexos approved. $15 for 5 quart jug as apposed to Mobile @ $25. OP, just get any brand you like as long as it's Dexos approved, there's not enough difference to loose sleep over. I just ignore the OLM, GM has their schedule, I have mine.
  22. Completely agree, I just had the dealer do a pan drop and filter change, none of that flushing crap for me. BTW they refilled with updated ATF, no issues works fine.
  23. My '14 has a similar issue....when the motor is still at low operating temp and at 55 to 65 mph, I can feel a buzz that comes and goes about 3 seconds apart but disappears after fully warmed up. Also did it before upgrading to new tires....weird.
  24. I had mine done this morning, drove home about 5 miles, no difference.
