  1. I don't mind the recall at all, I get free coffee and get to look at the new overpriced Sierras. Still love my '14 SLT.
  2. Right on! Myself? Purchased my 2014 SLT new, sticker was 42K, got it for that out the door, including a few extras. Most importantly, I didn't finance it, simply wrote a check for the full amount and it was all mine, titled in my name from day one.
  3. My '14 SLT stickered at 42K, got it for that out the door with a few accessories added and I'm ok with it. I paid cash and did not have to hassle with financing, high interest rates, ect. Most important, it was titled in my name day one, not the finance Co.
  4. 165,000 is very impressive. And no catch can? Impossible! LOL!
  5. Mine also broke recently. I used a stainless steel screw, washer and nut.
  6. Add me to the list, annoying as hell.
  7. Mine would stop moving laterally if I lowered the seat all the way down but then it was too low for my liking. My solution (so far) was to raise the rear of the seat by installing 5/8 inch thick shims/washers and longer bolts where the seat bolts to the floor and leaving the seat powered all the way down. Much better than having the dealer jack around with it.
  8. Had mine done this morning, no issues before or after.
  9. This is how I change the coolant on my truck. It's not a complete flush but I feel at least the coolant stays fairly fresh and clean. Since coolant is constantly circulated through the coolant tank, I simply syphon the contents out and refill with about 3/4 gallon of 50/50 Dexcool. Quick, easy and no mess. I do this annually.
  10. Instead of tearing apart your dash, wouldn't it be easier to just run an additional ground from the BCM to another part of the dash?
  11. So your going to have a rebuilt engine in a virtually new truck, that's not what you paid for......demand a new one instead, not a patched up motor that has the potential for future problems.....and I don't care what the terms are in the "fine print".
  12. Just me....in order to make pinstripes look good and compliment the lines of the truck, there has to be a consistent straight panel crown down the sides and the pinstripes hand painted either above or below it. I've seen 14's+ with pinstripes and they just don't look quite right to me.
  13. A trash bag......the bag was free.
  14. So.......I guess that's why I keep detecting the smell of coolant from behind the grill and the occasional low level in the overflow tank........marvelous.
  15. I bought my '14 in January of 2014, build date 6/13, no a/c bracket and no issues so far.
  16. The only other option would be to have an automotive trim shop remove the seat pad and shave an inch off the bottom/front of the pad where it sits in the frame, this will level the seat. It would be worth the gamble and a helluva' lot cheaper than trading up for another vehicle.
  17. +1 on the bottom front angle, I get the feeling I'm sitting in a clam shell but I can live with it, overall I think they're OK. Just about every new car/truck manufacturer are now making tiny little rock hard seats with overblown bolsters that dig in, that's fine for the track, but for a truck??? I don't get it...give me a good 'ol bench seat from the sixties.
  18. A shot of WD40 on each side of the pivot point should eliminate that, it worked for me.
  19. Mine just started making that groaning noise too. It looks like it's coming from the pedal pivot point, I sprayed it with a little wd40, I'll see if there's any improvement next time I drive it. Yeah, it's annoying. Update: Save yourself the aggravation or trip to the dealer, problem solved with a quick squirt of WD40.
  20. I had the same issue, relay clicking but no movement. Had the dealer look at it twice, they cleaned a few electrical connections, applied dielectric grease, ect. It would start working than quit. I'm the sole driver so it didn't much matter, lately however it's been working perfectly every time I check it and has been for the last 6 months. The power lumbar still works intermittently even after the entire motor assembly was replaced. I never use it because I don't like that feature anyway. Somehow I think those 2 items are related because I can hear the same relay clicking.
  21. Just want to confirm, does your method move the brake pedal closer to the floor?
  22. Same here, in my case I found out the key has to be inserted completely to work, and sometimes the s/w needs to be wiggled.
  23. I know what you mean, I don't like the spacing either but I've learned to adjust. My theory is the wider spacing makes it more difficult for bad drivers to mistake the gas for the brake and thereby not plowing into someone's house or business. Probably GM's CYA policy .I may be wrong so nobody get excited, ok? BTW, has anyone noticed this on other new vehicles?
