  1. Just to be clear, my case was NOT a pushrod issue. It was a broken valve spring that grenaded the motor
  2. If you are going from a 7" display to 8", you'd need the display, module, and have it programmed for your truck through the dealer or WAMS. Oh, and add the SD card reader in the center console. Do you have an IOR, IOS, or IOT? IOR Audio system, 7" diagonal GMC Infotainment System, includes multi-touch display, AM/FM stereo, includes Bluetooth streaming audio for music and most phones; featuring Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability for compatible phones IOS Audio system, 8" diagonal GMC Infotainment System, includes multi-touch display, AM/FM/SiriusXM stereo, Bluetooth streaming audio for music and most phones, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability for compatible phones, advanced voice recognition, in-vehicle apps, personalized profiles for infotainment and vehicle settings IOT Audio system, 8" diagonal GMC Infotainment System with Navigation, includes multi-touch display, AM/FM/SiriusXM stereo, Bluetooth streaming audio for music and most phones, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability for compatible phones, advanced voice recognition, in-vehicle apps, personalized profiles for infotainment and vehicle settings. Includes greater memory. Any upgrade will not be cheap https://www.whiteautoandmedia.com/product/silverado-sierra-wireless-car-play-android-auto-navigation-and-hd-radio-upgrade/
  3. Anyone have this happen? It's intermittent. I'll be on a drive where every time I hit the brakes, the backup cam comes on, others it doesn't happen at all. I 'think' it might be related to the OPT7 I have hardwired in but curious if anyone else has experienced this before slicing and dicing things until it stops for good
  4. I don't handle low-level programming but the guys at WAMS can. Not trying to nut-swing here but I'm pretty sure this is doable
  5. LASFIT is the best but I only use them for lights that are on often, eg license plate lights. Believe it or not, I bought these (gave the extra set to a neighbor with the same truck) and they are BRIGHT... and have lasted me quite well https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VNQ646S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  6. Who swapped the glass? Safelight and a few others have replacements but as "unit" said, it's definitely a different glass. It'll say "HUD" in the printing on the glass
  7. Some of my faves Speed Limiter - Gone One-touch open/close sunroof Brights with Fogs Added more flashes to the turn signal "tap" They come out with new stuff all the time as well
  8. You can with WAMS along with a buttload of other stuff Applying this patch will add the menu item to the factory "vehicle settings" menu to disable the function that automatically locks the doors when the transmission is shifted out of Park. NOTE: Applying this patch only makes the menu item visible in the factory radio settings. In order to disable auto door locks, you must first enable this option in the BCM tune. Once the BCM has been flashed with this option applied, then go into the "settings" menu on the radio home screen, then "Vehicle", then "Door Locks", then set "Auto Door Locks" to "disabled". https://www.whiteautoandmedia.com/product/t1-pickup-wams-spec-bcm-programming/ @GTPprix

  10. If you want noisy... S&B without adding "the plug" is it. Old man asked what exhaust I had because it's loudddd
  11. The issue is, they'd sell a few thousand of those. Pretty edge-case
  12. Shrug.. maybe the angles the shots are taken differ, but what you posted vs the OP look the same to me. That bed doesn't look like a short or standard
  13. I had this happen with ~2k miles on the odo. As was the issue with another guy here, I had just gotten back from washing the truck. Floormat wasn't in correctly and was pressing the accelerator pedal. I know it's not always the cause but one that seems somewhat overlooked in this post
  14. Makes sense... I have an LT TB but have the Midnight Edition
  15. Heh.. with sleepy in, I guess it is something we should all be concerned with. I was getting used to filling up for under the cost my right arm. I think my best 25 is ~17
  16. I 'think' S&B may be https://support.sbfilters.com/hc/en-us/articles/200742684-How-do-I-obtain-an-EO-CARB-sticker-to-pass-a-smog-test-
  17. Seems like there's a difference in opinion here. Me? Give me back my K5 Blazer with the power of this 6.2 and call it a day
  18. See what ya mean. I have to agree to an extent. I rented all of the big 3 for weeks each before buying. I've been a GM guy most of my life but unlike some, have zero brand loyalty. The Dodge, 2 of them had issues. One, the windshield was pulling away from the body and letting in air and a tiny bit of water. Second one kept falling on its face at random times The Ford, no issues. Quick and comfy The Chevy, no issues, but not quite as comfortable I chose the Ford until I started pricing them out. Ford was 10-12k more at the time of purchase for similarly equipped. That said, they also did have a MUCH higher resale value and part of me wishes I spent the extra dough. Overall, I'm happy with my truck. The 6.2 is a beast when it's not snapping valve springs and grenading the motor. It looks sexy as hell. When it comes to buy again though...Chevy had better step up a bit more. Ford is looking better and better
  19. ??? I can tilt and telescope mine. It's all done with one adjustment lever. Pull it down and adjust both. As for the pedal adjustment, if you have power seats, give the bottom from a bump up or two. It'll pull your legs further from the pedals. Nearly all of the manufacturers are doing away with them since 99% of people don't use them
  20. Anyone have the schematic for the rear lighting? The ONLY thing I can think of is the OPT7 bar is backfeeding power somehow but it's dark so didn't have a chance to disconnect it and test. It has been good for a month or so
  21. Contact OnStar IMHO. If your truck has connectivity (they use AT&T) you should be good to go
  22. Never even thought about this but once the price of lumber comes down to less than gold, I can imagine using cedar which is light and strong to do the same thing. A few hinges to help getting it in and out... would outlive the truck Then, just toss a 2" thick mem foam pad on top. Won't be the Ramada but it'll let you get a few Zs
  23. You ever try an iron remover? I used to clay but with a clay bar, you are just dragging it through the paint/clear no matter how much ya apply lube....often needing a light polish afterwards. Been using IronX (there are competitors) for a couple years and I've had good results with spray it on.. let it sit.. rinse it off This guy is pointing out Eagle One but gives you an idea how these work
  24. Seems like this slope is about to get slippery. I kinda hope someone gets to keep the old and is willing to tear it down or send to someone that will. Would be interested to see what the cause is
