  2. That piece appears to be the main structure of the mirror:
  3. FWIW, they are all Gentex and just get rebranded. They're like the Luxottica of dimming mirros
  4. Friend works at a stealership and had these pics on her FB
  5. +1 on soapy water. First check the obvious.. check out where the tire hits the pavement If you don't have a sprayer, just take a paper towel, put a drip of dish soap on it and a drip or two of water. Rub it along the edge or where the rim meets the rubber and a dab on the valve stem. It will bubble all over but be obvious if there is a leak
  6. Apples to carrots..... To each their own (especially with this color) but I've had sunroofs on every vehicle outside of my Trans Ams with T-Tops. No issues with the sunroofs, but you want to talk about leaks ?. Get a T-Top car
  7. I noticed this the other day myself. ZERO bass and crap mids and highs. Don't happen to have a before and after do ya? Also, I know the older Bose systems (eg my 2001 Caddy Eldo) used weird ratings like 1.5 or 2 ohm. Is that the case in these trucks?
  8. Found this:
  9. If the battery is dead, he'll need to flip the interlock but he made no mention of that. To release the interlock, you need to drop the kickpanel from below the steering wheel. There's a black cable connected to an aluminum arm. You can pop this cable off and shift "very" manually
  10. The sound you are hearing is exactly like this:
  11. Interesting.. can't say I've heard that one. We've been in the single digits for a couple weeks now here in northern IL too
  12. Are you in a cold climate? Mine sounds like a "work truck" with a steel shelving unit when I get a bit of ice between the cab and bed
  13. You sure that is where it's coming from and not echoing from somewhere say.. on the dash? When it's cold as hell outside, the vent in the dash gets that same rattle sound. Some others have found messing the the bolt(s) underneath? can help
  14. Just looking here on the Build Your Own page, no
  15. Wow.. never seen this one before. Click click.. buy here. Thanks!
  16. I had this happen awhile back but now it's consistent. Plug in phone-->activate AA Try to listen to podcasts or the news XM fires up to my second preset and plays over the news on Android As you can imagine, this makes it hard to understand. I unplugged my phone. I paused XM. Switched over to FM before trying. Nothing works; it goes right back to playing my second preset over any audio Android wants to play. Anyone else?
  17. I've never seen this and it's been pretty consistent 5-10F here lately. Maybe because I am remote starting? That said, a quick Google search says it's an elevated idle to help the drivetrain warm up a bit faster
  18. Agreed.... this is as bad if not worse than fumbling around on your phone in many areas. Generally around 250 bucks As a biker, I also cringe at this
  19. Same setup here for 500 less https://www.shopchevyparts.com/electronics/2020-silverado-1500-rear-seat-infotainment-system-with-dvd-player-black-vinyl/84556195-p-92305781.html
  20. That's what sh.......... OK.. I will refrain
  21. You mentioned: Silverado 1500 crew cab with a standard bed and 4x4. Crew cab with a standard bed is a BIG truck. Most are doublecab/standard or crew cab short. I had my mind set on the same until I parked it in my driveway and it was up against the door and barely cleared the sidewalk. If you're hauling drywall and such, might be worth it but I ended up with a short bed. Just my 2 pennies
  22. I had the option between two trucks. One with the "safety" stuff or sunroof. Both the same price. Guess in both cases, they're useless in the cold PS, yes, I have the sunroof
  23. Don't worry, it won't break until you hit 60,001 miles
  24. VERY I was doing 70mph on the way home from a 3 hour ride the other day and got 18
