  1. Hey everybody. This may come as dumb questions, but I'll ask anyway. When I got my 2020 Sierra 1500 WT (base trim), it came with the Snow Plow Prep Package that came with the heavy duty front springs (unsure if shocks are different). I believe it's the same front spring that they mentioned for campers. 1. Do the upgraded front springs help in any respect with doing regular flat towing (AKA with a car trailer, non-gooseneck)? 2. Has anyone swapped these springs out for a "normal" spring and noticed a significant ride quality difference? 3. GM has a bunch of "codes" for the springs it seems. Does anyone know how to translate these codes? Basically would be looking for the "code" for a single cab, long bed, 4wd non-heavy duty spring... Thanks for your time!
  2. What do you mean power to the middle?
  3. Just a note. I did this in my truck, with the SD card, and neither plug can "charge" my Android phones while using Android Auto. They just "maintain" charge. I haven't tried the one without the SD yet...
  4. As promised from a while back...new (snow) pic with the SLT grill finally installed! Enjoy
  5. ...sure...why not...enjoy!
  6. Hey everybody. Has anyone on here actually installed the Belltech 2" drop spindles / shackles? I'm not really seeing any pics...only seeing pics of people going lower than 2". If so, can you please share some pics? Thanks! https://www.belltech.com/products/belltech/lowering/belltech-2-quot-drop-spindle-set-2519.html https://www.belltech.com/products/belltech/lowering/belltech-2-quot-drop-leaf-spring-shackle-6416.html
  7. Up for sale is a set of front and rear optional mud/splash guards for a NEW BODY STYLE 2019, 2020 or 2021 GMC Sierra 1500. They come with everything as pictured. Part numbers are 84420655 and 84420656 These were installed on the truck for a few days, and then removed. Your existing clips will need to be reused. I paid $120 new from GM, looking to get $85 OBO. Located in Central NJ
  8. I believe Katzkin only "upgrades" your existing seats, AKA with a different outer appearance. I don't think they offer an actual aftermarket alternative for our trucks. Maybe try reaching out to Harness Dr and see if you are able to retrofit OE heated seats/wheel in to a model that doesn't have it
  9. A reason against the 2500 would be ride quality. I can only speak for single cab , long bed trucks, but I did road test both back to back. The ride quality was a difference of night and day between a 1500 and a 2500 - with the 2500 being VERY abrasive at times. Just some food for thought based on my experiences.
  10. Too bad it doesn't work at idle...at least, I don't think it does? Or am I thinking AFM. Also too bad that it's causing motors to blow up due to lifter failure
  11. Sad that these problems are coming up so often...way to go, GM...
  12. Same here... I have a single speed transfer case on my WT...honestly didn't realize it until I was off the lot...oops...
  13. If it can be turned off in the settings menu like the OP said, I see no issues with it. If it's force enabled on and can't be disabled, that would be an issue IMO...
  14. Hello all. I'm trying to slap a dual exhaust on my single exhaust WT...but need some assistance to see how things line up. For anyone that has a dual exhaust, can you please upload any of the following pics? If you can't provide all, any would be appreciated. Thank you! 1. The driver side rear exhaust hanger. I need a pic of the bracket that bolts to the frame, and where it bolts to the frame 2. The pass side rear exhaust hanger. I need a pic of how that matches up to the frame / a bracket(?) 3. A pic of how the rubbers mount up / where the mount up to directly to the rear of the muffler (like right before the exhaust splits). Bracket/s, etc, how the bolt up, the same as above Thank you in advance!
  15. I love all the fall shots - nice work...and nice truck ;)
  16. Well, did some more upgrades to the Work Truck package interior - this time to the dash. I was tired of the (to me) boring black surrounds and plain gunmetal radio surround. Upgraded to a few leather bits, chrome surrounds, and silver/chrome radio surround. Enjoy!
  17. Found my own answer...in case anyone needs in the future...one port seems to be going to the rear console - jumper harness, then console harness, to console USB receptacle. One to the radio module.

  19. I mean, honestly it's the same BS with the long bed. Some people want a single cab 8 ft bed truck with "features". Thanks, GM, for making that not possible. Not everyone wants one just for a "work truck". GM really has their head up their...you know...with some of these decisions they make lately
  20. Precisely. Wish I knew this ahead of time before I had to tow mine! Factory ratings are a joke...push it to the limit, you'll have a hard time.
  21. Need and recommended are two different things. Coming from someone that tried a full enclosed trailer without a weight distribution hitch and without sway bars, I'd recommend it...wasn't fun...
