  1. The Amsoil Long Life 75W90? https://www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-75w-90-long-life-100-synthetic-gear-lube-fgr/ Not this one? (description says contains FM, but data sheet says add FM as needed) https://www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-severe-gear-75w-90-100-synthetic-gear-lube-svg/
  2. Not trying to beat a dead horse on this one but came across this since I have the G80 and seems like its few and far between for 75W90 without FM. Found these couple that seem like any would be okay? 3. Looking for what else you guys recommend to replace. I Noticed one of my tie rod grease boots was busted, planning to replace both inner and outer tie rods, sway bay end link, sway bar bushings. Anything else while I’m under there and have to get an alignment? Mileage is at 78,000 miles. Looking to use MOOG parts. Running 33’s so if anyone else has upgraded to something beefier let me know!
  4. @Capt Bob @rav3 I checked that ground and it’s all clear of insulation. I checked and cleaned up all the chassis grounds including both negative battery cable grounds. I ended up replacing my starter and that made it start normally BUT I’ve driven it twice now and both times the gauges went wonky and got service messages for about 45 seconds one time each drive and then doesn’t happen again. My battery is 4yrs old so I’m thinking I’ll just replace it also. Also I read some old posts about ECM getting some smoked circuits on it and causing weird issues. Read anything on that before?
  5. Past couple weeks gauges have been going crazy and giving error messages for service trailer brake, service 4WD. Truck drives fine when this is going on radio and lights still work and had never cut off on me when driving. Then last weekend and today it wouldn’t start at all, just acted completely dead with no turn over or clicking but battery was at 12.4v. Took battery to AutoZone Twice now and their tool said battery/alternator are good. I checked the grounds and cleaned the 4 on the frame. They looked fine but wire brushed them anyway. Anyone else had this issue? Wondering if starter or ignition switch?
  6. What part numbers are you guys getting for the injectors? The ones that came out of my truck are 12668390, dealership said new replacement part was 12684125, but then looks like 12698484 is the newest part. I ordered 12698484 from GM wholesale dealer, box says 12698484 but the injector is stamped 12681212. Seems like a lot of conflicting info on this fuel injector issue.. 12681212 (that I just got in today) is grouped with 12668390 (that came out of my truck) under the latest replacement number so I'm guessing I can use these. Everywhere is back ordered so I guess I'm lucky I even got these
  7. Same thing happened to mine but was constant, drove me nuts. Sounded like the rear end bearings were bad. Ended up being the flapper valve, dealer replaced it with a new one.
  8. I've always used Flowmasters on my past 2 trucks (Super 40 and Super 10) and put a 14" Maganflow on my '15 about a month ago. Never had any problems with Flowmaster at all and they sound great, specially that 10 - sounded like I had a cam on idle and would scream when you got on it lol! Magnaflow is quieter but I think has a more quality, solid deep sound, probably due to the "acoustical packing" where as Flowmaster uses baffles. Can't go wrong with either IMO and about the same $
  9. Pics & Video. Unfortunately GoPro didn't catch the sound that great but figured I would post anyway. Definitely a more mild tone than the Flowmaster 10 duals I had on my 2003 Z71 but still an aggressive tone and its definitely louder in person. -Dynomax exhaust kit 38531 -Magnaflow 11229 (14x9) -Summit Racing SUM-691201 double wall dual tip (identical to Corsa tip but a lot cheaper)

  17. Yes, most shops use aluminized steel. That's what is nice about the kits because most are all stainless (like stock system). If you want to do stainless you may want to ask them if you could bring them a section of stainless pipe and then they could use that to replace the flapper and resonator (can find those on ebay or summitracing.com, etc. all day for about $40 shipped). But the welding rod probably isnt going to be stainless steel so its really just how particular are you wanting to be... I just put on the Dynomax kit and swapped mufflers for the 14" Magnaflow. She drones! It doesn't bother me like some people make it out to be of an Apache helicopter attack... But its more of an annoyance that I feel like everyone around me thinks something might be wrong with my truck lol - sounds bogged down and/or like a misfire. No regrets thus far but am wondering if maybe installing the flapper in front of the MagnaFlow would help it Vid/pics to come!
  18. I was able to find and order the Dynomax VT kit (38531). Swapping the muffler and using the 14" Magnaflow 4x9 center/offset. Sounds like we are doing the same thing just different length Magnaflow. Should be at the doorstep by the time I get home today...
  19. Yeah it is 3.5". How long ago did you order the magnaflow kit? Jw to compare to below... Interesting... How long ago did you order? I have been trying to piece it together like you did too but tail pipe was backordered 5-6 weeks and now backordered another "60-90 days". So went to buy a kit from Jegs and it is now saying the kit is back ordered too....... Can't win, pretty frustrating since I have this brand new magnaflow muffler and corsa tip sitting in my office. Really wanting to go with stainless mandrel bent!
  20. Has anyone found a good part number for just the exhaust tail pipe in 3" stainless mandrel bent (behind muffler)? Only one I have had luck with any hits is for Dynomax and the part number (54704) is on back order for months, but I'm sure they just don't want to sell the individual pieces. Might have to fall back on picking up the whole Dynomax kit to run the Magnaflow 11229 (14" long 3" SI/SO). Really would like to run stainless mandrel bent tubing versus the aluminized "crush bent" specially when it is pretty much the same price. ...Anyone want to buy a brand new Dynomax muffler? Side note, but the Dynomax mid pipe is available in stock to buy by individual part number (55608) http://www.dynomax.com/downloads/instruction_pdf/39529_Installation_Instructions.pdf
