you can usually find them on eBay, Denali or All-Terain. I paid $330 + shipping, but last time I was on eBay the were a bit more....either way, still cheaper than the dealership.

I'll take more hp and better mileage over fewer shifts. :D

EDIT : What'd you mean by 'smoother' anyway??

I know where one is in the Saginaw/Fort Worth (Foat Wurth as he says it). That I could snag for you if the price was right. The guy is apparently handicap because he just put assistance rails on his truck, so it shouldn't be too hard to get.

You'd have to find it and catch it outside, first! :D

Of course, then there's the 12 gauge security system................... :D:lol:

Drove 07 Denali and my Vmax back to back and my truck was smoother shifting and didn't feel like it was shifting all the time. When driving in-town with stop lights and traffic, the 6-speed never stops shifting. AND with my tune and 4.10 gears, I'm not all that much slower than you... :D And I'm getting slightly over 18mpg too.

Don't get me wrong, just play'n here. When I bought my truck, My SLT had more/better options than the Denali did for a lower cost. I'd take the 6.2 but I wanted selectable 4x4 too.

you can check out denaligrill.com they offer the denali style in black or chrome...I've been thinking about getting rid of my AT grill and going with something else, only been on my truck about 3 months

Try putting it in "manual mode" the next time you drive a 6-speed. If you're doing red light to red light and your max speed is going to be 30, try M3. In the same situation with a max speed of 40, try M4. I used to live in an area with a TON of red lights and it being in a rush to get to 6th gear was a little annoying. Using Manual Mode got rid of that "problem," though..

Tuned here.. stock gears. "Not all that much slower than me" is still slower than me. :D

:D (Yes, I'm just funnin' with you, too.)

20+ on my last road trip. :D

Me too! :D

Yeah, when I bought my Denali, there wasn't enough difference in price for me to not pay the couple grand extra to get the truck I really wanted... I would've liked to have had selectable 4WD, but the 6L's I drove felt like dogs. (Back then, I had never heard for Abuse Mode, Torque Management, Blackbear Performance, etc.) If the Denali's had an "off" button for the AWD system, I probably would've bought an AWD Denali (or at least strongly considered it). But, they didn't.

I had a long list of priorities for the truck and the SD fit that list better than the other options from GM. Looks, power, 6-speed transmission, some off-road capabilities (not rock crawling or mud-bogging, but some rocky/dirty roads - RWD with a locker suits my needs fine), and the comforts I had grown accustomed to.. (power everything, sunroof, heated seats, leather, etc, etc.)

We each bought what we wanted & needed...... You've just done more to modify yours than I have mine. :D

(again, just funnin' with ya, man! :D)
