Mp3 Cd Burning Format

I know that I can play MP3 CDs in my 08 Silverado, but I'm not sure if there is a specific format the files need to be in in order for the radio to read the files. How many folders can you have on the disc? I plan on making one Music folder, then having subfolders for Genre, artists in the particular Genre and then artist's songs. Something like Music > Country/Rock/Rap/Classic Rock > Artists > Song or Maybe Music > Country/Rock/Rap/Classic Rock > Songs I'm wanting to know if there is a specific format or specific boxes that need to be checked. I've never played MP3 CD's since none of my radios have been able to play them. I will be using WMP 11 to burn them.

I just used wma format and it works fine. The software is free from Zune (microsoft's IPOD).

http://www.zune.net/en-US/software/default.htm

Create the song list you want making folders for each album and inserting just the songs you want from your CD or other source by dragging & dropping. You'll see when you start playing with the software.

I dropped the folder for each album into the burning program. It shows all the data on the Radio display. You can choose (on the Radio, see car manual) to play Random, Artist, or Album.

I get between 200 to 220 songs on each CD-R. It sounds so much better than playing the Zune through the AUX in jack. Plus no charging problems, no cradles, no wires dangling.

YOU will LOVE the sound compared to IPOD or ZUNE plug in. I use 5-6 CDs for 1300 songs.

Some have said they have a problem when off roading because the CD skips. But I don't OFF-ROAD.

You will tinker with the software to perfect it, but once you figure it out, it's so easy.

You can just click and drag the mp3 files directly to the cd, and they will play. I have about 3 main folders, and they work just fine. I sometimes don't even bother with special burning software, I simply use Windows XP burning software after I drag the files onto the disk. On the left hand side it gives you the option of burning the files onto the disk. I haven't tried subfolders, but they should work just fine.
