New Sound System Installed

Hey all,

I just installed a new sound system a couple of days ago. I picked up a Kenwood DDX-512 Double Din, Infinity Kappa 60.9cs 6.5 inch components for the doors and Infinity 462.9cfp 4x6 plates for the rear. Got every thing installed in about 2 hours, and it sounds amazing. I was originally planning on adding an Alpine MPR-F300 4 channel amp to go along with the Alpine MPR-M500 I currently have running a single Rockford Fosgate P3L-S12 12" slim subwoofer. However, I'm definitly not gonna need it. It's plenty loud with out it. Here are a couple of Pics

I can't wait the add a back up camera and the HD Radio module.

The best part of all of this is the Kenwood cost me $157.99 on clearance, originally $599.99

and the Infinity speakers cost me $126.00 shipped, straight from Infinity, through our Harman Kardon accomodations at work.

Excellent install Ron and a nice looking setup.

A friend of mine just had a new system installed in his Honda Accord by the local Hooper's Store. Their work was terrible and they even broke the passenger side kick plate tabs, so its loose on the side toward the center console. Trim kit wasn't even installed straight.

You know that unfortunately happens when you hire inexperienced guys, that don't have the correct tools and/or the knowledge to use them properly. I have a part timer that is kind of like my apprentice. I teach new things all time. I was very suprised how many basic install techniques he didn't know, considering he's been doing it for 2+ years. The good thing though is he's not afraid to ask how to do something and won't take on a job he is unfamiliar with or uncomfortable doing. Also if you are going to something installed anywhere, ask if their installers are MECP certified. If they are not the dealer can and most likely will, void your warranty if you have any electrical issues.

I had a dealer call me for my MECP certification no. Because a guy I did a remote start for was having an unrelated issue with his Envoy. I provided them with the requested info and they took care of his problem under warranty.
