I have a 93 3500 cclb single wheel 6.5 diesel which i just got on the road. had to replace the engine because of the PO not putting the front starter brace on and it broke the ear off the block. took me almost a year but runs like a champ now. have done a few mods so far: homemade turbo master, intake filter box delete. also have a 96 eclb 2500 that i will be selling pretty soon. and i have an 82 rabbit diesel that i drive back and forth to work to save fuel. i like diesels and chevys. i am really close to the race track and go to the diesel drags when it comes to town.

i am going to put the FS2000 bypass filter from the 96 onto this one, also the 100 gal tank. 19.5 rims are the next big project: cut/weld rim/center ring, mount 33's(245/70 R19.5) that are 6.75" wide. put A/C back in and a lot of other little things that it needs. going to run used atf in it. have a filter system that i will try out and if it works i will be using it as my daily driver.

paid $1,200.00 for it w/ a bad engine. paid $800.00 for engine replacement(99 year model) that i sold the extra parts and ended up w/ $100.00 extra so the truck only cost $1,100.00. redid the front door panels, headliner, roof console. need plastic bed liner. will tint windows and redo rear door panels soon.

Welcome! That's a long A$ truck too!

there is a company that will take a 4 door, add an ext cab section w/ a long bed............. that would be too long. i have seen a few pics of 6 door trucks but they have been short beds.

this will be my 'get the family out of town, here comes another hurricane' truck. want enough room for 2 kids, wife and me along w/ our gear and fuel for 1500 miles.

wow! how things have changed over the years.

the 93 is in the driveway. hasn't ran for 5 years, or maybe longer, from fuel problems. did get the 19.5's on it but not modified yet.

96 is getting tank, sending unit, fuel filter replaced. had corrosion from sitting so long. the money I make off of it will go straight into the 93. I want to shorten the bed/frame with a 50 gallon tank in the bed. get a/c fixed and fresh paint/interior. will still the family get away truck.

been driving an 02 jetta tdi for 3 years. get 55-60 mpg so I have been loving that.

guess I will post results when things change.
