Corsa Db Black Installed

I haven't posted in awhile but i wanted to share my enthusiasm with you guys. I had my corsa db black welded on today with the tip turned down right before the axle at a 45degree angle. I didn't want to see any exhaust tips out the sides or back. It's slightly louder than I'd like while cruising through town. No big deal though. I just would like it a little quieter because I have two little girls who nap in the back seat. This muffler really shines at WOT when the transmission kickes down a gear or two. It freakin' SCREAMS! in a good way. I'll try to get a video uploaded tonight or tomorrow. In the meantime, here is a crappy cell phone pic for you to enjoy.

That is similar to the way I was going to do my Corsa black. Then I realized that it might be too loud. I have a 15 m/o son that sits/naps right above the muffler. I ran it out the back corner of the bumper. I can barely see the tip, and still sounds great! You can see the tip behind the rear wheel and in front of the rear bumper. I might cut a 1/2" off though...we'll see.

Did you leave the small canistar behind the muffler installed? I think it's called a resonator or somthing. I had mine cut off along with the oem muffler. If i decide that the exhaust is too loud for the little ones I might have the small piece reinstalled.

btw: when the AFM kicks in at or above 1500rpm it is really annoying. Below 1500rpm is unnoticable to me. A tune will fix that.

HA, that pic is def familiar!

I didn't have one to take out. I have the 5.3L so I have no resonator. I wish I had the 6.0L now haha. Too late, but I would of probably kept that in. Wouldn't be hard to have that installed again though. Like you said though, just see if its too loud then make your decision. I had someone drive my truck while I sat in the back and decided if it was OK or not. These new trucks are pretty quiet inside so it might not be too bad. I also started noticing the AFM. I didn't at first, but I took a nice 2 hour trip the other day and I was getting annoyed too. I am getting a tune next month hopefully after I do my gears.

haha, looks like ur kid(assuming thats yours  ) is gunna walk right on under there.

Yeah, he went under a few times. I got scared the first time b/c I thought he was going to stand up under there and burn himself on something but he stayed low. I guess he learned his lesson when he started walking under the dining room table a few weeks ago, haha.
