i have put some mud guards on my truck similar to the ones i have posted in the picture. But i am having trouble because i drive on the highway they are starting to warp and bend is there some way to stiffen them up without making them look like they dont belong on the truck.

I thought of that but do not want to drill anymore holes in the body cause i already drilled 5 holes per flap

I know the front ones use existing holes (except for one hole which needs to be drilled) but the rest utilize the plastic rivets on your front wheel liners and the rest use speed nuts (included w/ the mud guards) that clip onto the sheet metal.

in that case i think i will look into them because these ones bend way to easily. thanks craig :dunno:

Anytime....hope it solves your problem.

I can't tell in the picture if yours are the molded kind or not. I have had the molded gm flaps on 3 trucks and they never warped.

X2 on the GM moulded ones, I just installed my fronts the other day and they used all the existing holes, no drilling required at all on the fronts.

The back ones did require drilling but a bit of paint on the holes and then some silicone on the screw and I have no worries.

I did the same on my 97 with the type of mudflaps you have and never had a problem.

I also know what you mean, mine did the same as what yours are doing, that is why I went with the moulded ones for my new truck.

I also put some 3M stoneguard adhesive tape in behind them on the body sides before I installed them as I am sure some paint scuffing may happen? (The tape is the same stuff that comes on the truck in various locations already) Good Luck
