4wd Not Working!

ok i have a 1996 chevrolet blazer that i mess around on. i can put it in 4wd (electric button) and it will lock in and you can hear it pop into 4, but the front tires won't spin. what does it need? someone said it need a solenoid but i dont think thats it. what do you guys think i need?

I think you need a Helm manual. It'll have more information in the troubleshooting section of the 4wd chapter than can be posted here.

Here you go. I think the Blazer uses a vacuum actuator for the CAD, but the idea is the same. You will need the engine running, not just key on for vacuum.
