Front Wheel Hubs Failing Prematurely

Anyone have their front wheel hub assemblies fail early (<30K)?

I've got an 06 1500 with 29K miles and I think I have one going.

It's like an out-of-balance whining - whaa-whaa-whaa sound coming from the front end.

Also having some heavy grabing during braking.

I've checked the pads and rotors and they look good.

on my 06 1500 i had both calipers go bad w/in 20k - 24k miles...

Dealer replaced them as a good faith thing tho.. Are your rims heating up rreal bad at all or any heavy brake dust?

To check the hub, jack up the front of truck, put it on jack stands, and grab the tire at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions. Wiggle back and forth, and see if there's any play. If there is, and it's not coming from the ball joints, the hub is bad.

Check both sides.

Do you have stock rims and tires on the truck?

The ones on my work truck, 2006 Silverado went out around 50K on one side and then again at 80K on the other. I thought it sounded like something dragging from under the truck, definitely a grinding sound.
