I Love My New Eclb

I've never owned a truck and had the ability to go pick up my own wood. I'm sure my guy isn't even delivering yet. Man,what a luxury it was to just make a snap decision yesterday to find some. Found a guy in the paper selling a rank for $40 about 20 miles south of me in the sticks. A nice drive later, and I returned with that long bed damn near full! lol

I love my truck :jester: The wood is a bit wet and heavy, but she hauled this load like nothing.

I hear ya my 06 ECLB has come in handy many many times with cargo. The only part I hate is parking it in a congested parking lot. Even if I park all the way out in the sticks I will still come out and find people who just parked around me. Then I gotta play hell trying to maneuver that thing out of there. ECLB's are a rare breed and nobody really respects them until they see what they can do. I have already received several offers of people who want to buy my truck but I just thank them and press on.

Its really gonna suck next year because while I really enjoy my truck shes already put on a few miles. The extended warranty is about up and its time to get something else. Its just a damn shame GMC wont put the All-Terrain package on the ECLB trucks. Honestly, I may consider just getting a ECLB and then putting on a set of Rancho or Bilstein shock with the All-Terrain trim. Decisions, decisions......

My 2004 was an extended cab. Loved it!!! Traded at 150,000 miles for my 2008 extended cab. I spend a lot of time on the road, pretty well living out of my truck. Don't know if I could ever return to a standard cab.

Both my extended cabs had/have the 6.5 foot bed. 90% of the time, the bed is empty except for my extra wide WeatherGuard tool box. Had to remove the tool box a couple weeks ago when I needed to haul a couple loads of landscaping rock. Was amazing how much rock the quarry kept dumping into the bed!! The '08 is a Z71 with the upgrade shocks and trailering package. Truck wasn't "squatting", but was afraid for the tires!!!! Are you supposed to be able to haul a full ton of rock in a 1/2 ton truck???? LOL

Good lookin' truck you've got there!!!!

I just hauled 2000lbs of wood pellets in my 09 eclb. Squatted about the same as my 07 rclb but way more then my 93 rclb. The 93 is just below level. This truck was riding too close to the stops for my taste, but it handled it.

Here's a crappy cell phone pic. Ignore the tires. My bro brought home some 22" tires for work and I wanted to see what it would look like. I have firestones in the stock size on there.

I see A LOT of Crew Cab's lately with the dinky 5 1/2" box. I like my ECSB, but I think my next truck will be at least an ECSB 3/4 ton, if not a CCLB 3/4 ton
