Idle Problems On My '03 Sierra

Recommended Posts

Posted

Recently my '03 Sierra has had an idleing problem. It idles at 500 rpm, and when i put it in gear it will drop down to 200 or below. Then the truck dies. This will happen even while driving when i let off of the gas when coming to a stop. Does anyone have any possible solutions? I've checked for codes, and there are none.

If you haven't already clean the throttle body, IAC pintle and MAF using the correct cleaners available at your parts store.

Thanks. The throttle body was first on my list. I didn't think of the other two. I'll let ya'll know if it works.

Make sure you do not spray the outside of the IAC with cleaner so as not to damage the electronics.
