Bose System Subwoofer?

Hey guys i have a 2006 suburban 2500 it does have the bose system in it with bose displayed all around the doors but heres my question is there a factory subwoofer in the trunk behind the grill or is that just there way of saying hey u could put a sub here i am the second owner and it does have 143000k miles so it may have blown out but i sure dont here any real base????

I've always thought the sub was in the center console towards the dash

On the full sizes they are in the center counsel below dash....

 

I know on my moms equinox, it has a pioneer system and the sub is in the back cargo area but you can see a grill there.,.

 

Are there any grills back there? also its possible that the prev owner could have put in a stealth setup back there that looks factory and you could have sub up front...

yes there is a grill back there no work was done to the stereo it was a work truck i dont know whether it is an empty grill or the sub blew out????
