I try to stay away from Chinese rubber.

Your loss, they are a good tire. Better than any overpriced Goodyear I have ever owned. jm2c

I'd rather my tires don't blow out and kill me because they are crap. There is a reason Chinese tires are now hard to come by due to the taxes.

I'll take my AmeriTracs again before I buy Chinese rubber.

Unless you are running any of these sizes:

The tires include the Aurora AL04 in sizes 11R22.5 (14- and 16-ply), 11R24.5, 295/75R22.5, 285/75R24.5 and 255/70R22.5; Aurora AL03 in sizes 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 295/75R22.5 and 285/75R24.5; and Aurora AH06 in sizes 225/70R19.5 and 265/70R19.5.

...then I wouldn't worry about it. Firestone however, did explode on passenger vehicles and trucks....and I am pretty sure they weren't made in China. jm2c

[Those Ameritracs were horrible, and only lasted 38k under only hwy travel conditions. They also wore prematurely on the edges. The tire was just too narrow. Three guys I work with all had the Ameritrac's on their new Chevy's, and none of them lasted longer than 40k. This tire would have been acceptable for an LS or work truck maybe, but not LT trim models. Anyway, you can have the Ameritracs all day long buddy!

I know this is an older thread, but I ran a set of these Hankook tires for 32000 on my 2010 GMC Canyon and they looked brand new when I traded the truck for my 2010 GMC Sierra. I have only driven it for 4000 miles, and I hate the Goodyear AT/S that came on it. Just got my new set of Hankook ATM tires...which are Korean I believe...yesterday and will have installed this evening. I can't wait to experience my new truck with these excellent tires. They were great on and off road, in wet, dry, snow, and ice on the Canyon, and the Sierra is ten times the truck the Canyon was.
