Help!

hello everybody,

 

I have a 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS with a stock 305HO, with a 700R4 transmission (came stock with the 200, but that one took a dump )

 

I also have a 5.3 Vortec motor out of a 2006 GMC Denali

 

If and how possible is it to put this 5.3 motor not only into my Monte Carlo, but also to convert it to a carburetor?

 

any responses are welcome, and if it is possible, can you give me a somewhat detailed "how-to" and what i will need and need to do? Thank you very much

There was an episode of Powerblock dedicated to this, it was interesting. Can't remember the name, I will watch the episode again later, and grab the info.

LS1 Carb Conversion.

GM has a how-to book for putting an LS-style engine in older carb'ed cars. I believe its $9.99 at their parts counter.
