Gm Rebate/incentive Info

My '10 Sierra should be arriving at the dealership around 11/23. Current rebates on the '10 Sierra are $1500 ($1000 plus $500 for opting out of the 60-day guarantee) and they expire 11/30. After asking, the dealer said it's my choice on waiting until the start of December to take delivery in order to take the gamble that the new rebates will be higher.

 

So, anyone know what my chances are at getting a higher rebate in December? I figure a few more of the '10s are hitting the lots now, so GM may increase the rebates on them a little bit to get them flowing. But on the flip side I figure they may keep them low so that buyers opt for the higher rebates on the few remaining '09s.

 

Anyone have any inside knowledge on what December could bring in term of rebates, or where I might be able to find that info before the end of November? Does GM release that info ahead of time?

I would like to know this too. I am really hoping to find a good deal on an '09 before the end of the year. If they can't make it worth my time, I will just pick up a '10.

Docherty is expecting all the 2009 cars to be cleared out by January, 2010.

I doubt 2010 incentives will change much especially since there arent a ton on the lots yet. Mine was the first to hit my dealers lot.

Talked to my salesman again today, he said there's a rumor that some new incentives may come out tomorrow. Hope he's right, and hope the '10s will see a little bump.
