Rear Door Panel Removal

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how to remove the rear door panels.  Speakers are coming tomorrow and would like some sort of an idea before i jump in.  Is there only 1 screw (in the cup holder).  It is basically like the dash board as how it pops off?

Thanks

Do you have the 4th door if not you'll have to get a torx wrench and take off the seat belt to get to the drivers side panel.  I'm not sure on the door itself to get it off.

Ryan,

I have a few pics on my picturetrail site from when I did mine.  The pics involving the drivers side would not apply since you do not have a 3-door like I do.

There is a 7mm bolt (2" long) in the bottom of the cupholder on the door.  After that everything is just "push clamps"(terminology?).  There is a couple of plastic guides on the door panel just below the handle to help you line things up.

In the upper left hand corner, under the Picture Trail Logo, click on More Album Pics.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. :D

Thanks man

It was easy.  Hardest part was figuring out which wire was + and -  Found a nice wiring site online

maybe 30-40 min install.  Sounds much better and also my door rattle is gone (must have been a lose door panel)

Had to drill 4 holes to mount em.  Very easy.  Also had to hook up the wiring (not plug and play like the factory ones)

Wait a sec....

I have the 462.3cfp's.  I paid about $110 for them.  Very pleased.  I actually like them more than the 6 3/4 up front.

I got the cheaper ones.  They are great though.  My front speakers (stock) still sound good.  Ill hold off as long as i can on these
