I need to find a drivers side rear fender flare for a 2002 silverado 1500HD

is there any difference between a 1500HD and a 1500 and a 2500HD?

Shouldn't be any different. My '05 has them and my buddy's '06 Chevy HD 2500's flares are identical.

There the same as far as fit goes Mark,The difference is if you need a textured Black flare,or a smooth "paint-to-match" flare.

Thats what i was thinking. The only thing is that i think i have seen smooth flares on some HD pickups and suburbans. So as long he knows which one he has it shouldnt be that hard to find. I have a set of smooth silver metalllic birch flares if anyone needs them.
