looking for some advice on what to do for new tires. need something that is good in snow. i currently have cooper discoverer atrs but was looking at the good year wrangler duratracs. the coopers are 265-75-16. i was thinking about putting 285's on. i have a ready lift leveling kit which are new torsion keys to give me more clearance up front for a taller tire. i was also thinking about putting 2 inch blocks in the rear sometime soon. any advice on what to do or what not to do? thanks

Truck is a 2004 Silverado 4x4 5.3L all stock

I have dueller 285/75 16`s on stock wheels with the same ready lift keys and set the front .5 inch lower than the back with a slight rake. The rear has blocks, I assume these were stock, they were on the truck when I got it. Here`s a pic if that helps...

If you dont want to deal with the price of a mud terrain but want something that hooks up decent and looks good you can always go with the 'ol reliable BFG AllTerrains.

They look very similar, but the Generals are about $40-50 less expensive and offers a warranty.

Either way, I've had/have both, and have no complaints.
