Vss Wire

Hello!

 

I just purchased a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4 Crew Cab. I am installing a Pioneer D3 Double Din Radio. Everything is hooked up and running with the exception of the Vehicle Speed Sensor wire (VSS). I have been looking online every where and cannot find where this wire is located. One site says that the wire is on the Factory Radio Harness and is grey with a black tracer on most vehicles. I guess mine was the exception, cause it is not there. Also when I bought an adapter harness for my double din, the harness fit, but the wires did not line up. I had to move most of the pins around to match up the factory harness. Can anyone help me find the VSS wire.

That wire is only used for speed compensated volume. If the new deck isn't SCV compatible it wont work anyway.
