Hid Headlight Question

Recommended Posts

I am looking at a chrome headlight set on ebay with a 6000k HID kit included. Could anyone tell me if the HID bulbs that are included are dual-function lows/brights? I was wondering how that would all pan out.

Looks like just standard HID bulbs, some have an extra non-HID bulb that is used for highs or they will have a mechanical reflector that moves to change the beam. Don't see either of those in the picture.

thanks for the reply and yes you are very correct. i found some info that said that people normally dont put hids in brights because of the time it takes to light up, except for the mechanical reflector contraption. sorry for sounding stupid, i'm just new to this whole hid thing lol

yes thats correct. HID in highs arent popular due to the warm up period. And the "reflector contraption" is also known as Bi-Xenon kits lol. Just for future reference.
