07 Sierra Nbs Interior Light Wont Turn On

My interior light wont turn on when the door opens. I noticed both lights work when turn them on manually by pressing the button/s. I popped off the cover thinking there was a 3rd middle light and there was not.

 

Anyone had this problem and figured out how to fix it. All the bulbs inside are working fine, just dont turn on when any of the doors are open.

Did you try to turn it on by turning the dashboard light dimmer control all the way? There's also a button below the dimmer control to disable the lights with the doors.

Yep that I did not know it was there button to disable the interior lights will get ya as it is easy to bump when changing brightness of dash lights…

^^^What he said. I went a week trying to figure out why my interior lights would not come on when the door opened. It turned out that while wiping the dash down I pushed the button that disabled the lights. Simply fix.

Now I am going to have to check my truck. The lights work fine, but I thought that switch was the fog lamps. Time to actually read the owners manual maybe...

Fog lamps are below the dimmer, dome light disable is above it. It took me a couple days of frustration to figure that out.

Well i feel like a noob a little bit. Had absolutely no idea that above the interior light controls dial there was a button. First use of my owners manual. Appreciate all the help guys.

Took me 5 months and a brother who works for GM to figure it out, thought you pushed the dimmer control in and out.

Yes, you're right. I couldn't remember. Mine wouldn't work the first night I had it home from the dealer. I almost brought it back the next day but I found the info in the manual.
